Worth it!
Whoa, this really is as good as everyone is raving. The legs are quite sturdy and eve the center column is as well. Overall the weight is only slightly heavier than the Peak Design Carbon Fiber tripod, yet the legs are much more steady with less flex. It's a big upgrade from that tripod and considerably less than the new PD Pro tripods that are not even available yet. I cancelled my Kickstarter pledge and bought this instead. Highly recommended.

The best tripod ever made.
Very happy with this masterpiece of a tripod. Love the quick realese plate system. Also that you can easely dismantle the center-column without any tools.Yust a very clever mechanical sustem. And the 1/4 turn to release the legs is priceless. Also the hidden spikes under the rubberfoot is perfect.Hope this tripod will last as long as I live! If not I buy the exact same tripod again.

Solid platform with limited bells and whistles.
First impressions:The tripod is in a sturdy carry case with a discreet label and a shoulder carry strap. The box also included three different socket wrenches and what appear to be random fittings and screws. I'm not sure whether to be scared or impressed. The fittings are in small resealable bags, and if these are important, I will need to find a more stable and permanent storage solution.Inside the carry case, the tripod is wrapped in plastic.Removing the plastic, I find a small sticker on the bottom of the ball head that reads "Note: the screw holes at the bottom of the ball head only allow screws with a length of 7.2mm or short to be inserted. Using larger screws may damage the ball head." This is oddly precise. I am beginning to get scared.Next impressions -- ignore the user manual, and try it…Leg extension is smooth, simple, and true to the description, a single twist of the hand frees all locks, as it should.Center column tightening/loosing is via thumbscrew that is undersized, but functional.Center column is pull up / pull down, no crank needed and no crank provided. Your mileage may vary.Legs fold out and are a stiff fit to start. They snap into first position easily. Pressing the top button should unlock the leg, but I find that I need to bring the leg back in a bit before it can be depressed, then I can pull the leg to snap into the second (wide) position.I am happy that this isn't loose and falling apart, but at the start it is very stiff for my use.The ball head has a single friction cam for both freeing the ball and for rotation. This can be convenient for quick use, but will limit the ability for fine setup. The head has no level marks, no bubbles, nothing. Leveling the mount is an exercise for the reader. The ball head has a quick release. For fun, I threw on my manfrotto phone holder on the quick release. There is no thumb screw on the quick release -- there is a screw, and it needed a tool (flathead screwdriver in my case). One connected it was quick, but setup took time and tools.Reading the manual:Bring a magnifying glass -- it is all fine print. Really tiny fine print. The photo overview says this has both rubber pads and trident foot pegs, but I hadn't noticed. Take it back out of the bag. Yes, it looks like the feet are removable but I can't figure out how. Read the manual…."pull out the rubber foot pad" OK, that was incredibly stiff, but it worked.Instructions for how to replace the ball head with another brand -- good! The ball head is the weakest link in this setup so far.Other instructions on how to remove the long center column, how to tighten or refit loose legs. This explains the parts. Now I know that I need to keep the parts and I am simultaneously impressed that it comes with parts, and disappointed in the lack of a carrying case for parts.Overall:Workable utility tripod. Heft, stable, and easy to use without a bunch of fancy widgets. The ball head is workable, and replaceable. For anyone needing precision setup or interoperability with other platforms, swapping the ball head is a likely option.

Best all in one tripod
Design build quality and ease of use are all a 10 out of 10. The quick release is expertly designed. It is light weight and has a great load capacity. It is quite the upgrade from my previous tripod which was much heavier and cumbersome. Highly recommend.

If you wanted a travel tripod that doesn't move - this is it!
So I had the original travel tripod (Ulanzi Zero Y) but was not satisfied.I shoot Canon gear, which is heavy and bulky, thus making most travel tripods wiggle if you put any pressure on them - that means I can't really shoot a long exposure on a windy day without worrying that there's enough wiggle to ruin my image. After 3 models of travel tripods, I felt like nothing would be as stable as my main heavy duty tripod, so I wound up having to lug the huge heavyweight tripod around everywhere and wear myself out - I had been burned by the travel tripods wiggling just too much. When this came along I purchased it with such low hope for it to finally be what I was looking for...until I tried it.This tripod is ROCK SOLID! I know people say that all the time but it really truly is! You'll find it does not wiggle AT ALL on flat surfaces and is super stable with the tiniest bit of wiggle (when I push really hard down on it) whenever there's a big heavy long lens on it on a surface like soft grass or dirt...which I kind of feel its the dirt's fault at this point.Form factor is super compact and can easily fit in the water bottle pocket of my hiking bag which is great because the heavy duty tripods always had to be strapped to the bag and hang off the back, making laying it down and opening the bag a pain in the butt - this water bottle pocket position it just moves casually with the bag! That alone is fantastic!Height wise it's pretty respectable - you won't get a 6ft tall tripod you can stand under, but the size, strength, and speed of setting it up is well worth the maximum height you'd get - which is about 5 or 5.5 feet. This tripod is the best one I've ever owned for hiking - it will be trustworthy to be packed easily in your camera bag, the twist locks are surprisingly quick and easy to setup where you want, and you can feel confident the thing will not ruin your shot by wiggling or getting pushed around in the wind. The SINGLE gripe about this tripod is the spiked feet don't come off. I was concerned about taking it on a flight in my carry on so I had to check the bag under the plane. Not sure about security in airports being ok with the spikes on the legs, so if you are the type to do a one-bag travel I would hesitate to buy this until you learn about airport security rules or more people are bold enough to try to take this on the plane with them.that being said, the legs can be disassembled pretty easily for cleaning, so maybe Falcam could make some legs that don't have spikes built in?For its first time, I took this around all of Southern Utah canyons, rivers, and deserts in place of my heavy duty tripod and was pretty aggressive with it. To my surprise it was so reliable, stable, and versatile that I do not plan on packing my heavy duty tripod anymore on future trips just going to bring this one.I can't say anything about the ball head though, as I have a great Acratech ball head I use on this tripod instead. This is just my review about how awesome the legs and standard center column are.
