A previous reviewer said that this doesn't have tweeters but I verify that it does. There are located in the upper front corners. If you cover the upper front corners, you will lose a lot of higher frequencies. The sound signature is bright and clear with strong bass kicks. I was somewhat amazed at the amount of volume and really pleased for the size and price. I recommend using Dolby Atmos and playing with your eq on your phone to tweak it to your ears. The extra bass will turn on when you press the bass light. I didn't think it needed it except for heavy bass lovers.

When I first tried it I didn't care much for the sound. It was loud but lacking in sound quality. Then I thought maybe it was my phone. Got a good EQ app and made a world of difference. Now I like it.

One thing I was having a problem with my old bluetooth speaker was the battery life, it didn't last long enough if I'm listening to music in the backyard or in my home office while working. Which was sad. :(Not so with this! It lasted allll day, anddddddd IT SOUNDS AWESOME. Good bass, it's loud enough, you know what I'm talking about, in the backyard playing music while your neighbor is mowing their grass, or something like that haha. Has a nice deep rich sound to it, no matter what you're playing, i've even blasted country on this thing.Also the lights, I don't usually care for lights but it's like having a party for yourself lol or a festive work jam :)Note, I primarily use Spotify Premium on my iphone 15 pro and DID notice that you can def adjust the volume on your phone to adjust the volume on the speaker too, so maybe it depends on what you are using. Plus if you left your phone on your patio table and are out by the pool, you can still hit the volume buttons on the speaker itself to adjust the volume.The Bass button, this sounds good without that even, I did notice it a bit more ..bangin with that on, but I worry about blowing the poor speakers out so I have been playing tunes with that off. Haven't noticed any distortion as of yet, and I did play some songs on maaax, but maybe I don't have the kind of bass thumping songs in my Spotify mixes that might distort, idk. This is an awesome speaker, love it!!

So this speaker is advertised as having dual 15w tweeters, but this speaker has no tweeters at all. Only has two front active drivers and a passive radiators on each sideThe speaker also charges with it's own proprietary charging brick/cable, so if you lose it you may be in trouble. It should have been USB-C charging. Lights are almost a direct copy of the Tribit Storm box Blast.So this speaker doesn't sound too bad, but the lack of advertised tweeters and charging brick are big negatives. Look elsewhere for a speaker like this that delivers what they advertise.

I wasn't expecting much from this speaker. I've been let down so many times. I have probably thrown away as many speakers as are in those photo's because of bad sound / needed the space.It is designed very much like a Tribit Stormbox Blast ($200). The lights and button layout and shape echo the Blast.The bass is very robust, not quite as deep as the Tribit Blast and can't quite match it's loudness or bass loudness, but it's like 70% there.It's a little overly boosted in brightness, so in the upper levels it's a bit painful. But you could throw a small party with this I think.It will distort on bass heavy tracks near max, the bass button being turned off didn't help much, I think the bass button is boosting the deeper bass whereas it's the mid bass that is distorting. G-Easy - Tumblr Girls the bass kick was distorting pretty heavily, I had to turn it down quite a few notches for it to stop.At $130 it's worth it for this deep bass I haven't heard in this small a package. If you are wondering why there is a $500 Sony Ult 7 being compared to it in the pic, it's because I have a running vendetta against the Sony overpriced crappy Ult7's bass, and love finding cheaper speakers that beat it. And while this Soundstorm Boom can't go quite as deep as the $500 ULT 7, it's bass is quite a bit louder lol. I would rather have this Soundstorm Boom than the ULT7.
