Amazing
I rarely write reviews. My boyfriend and I have had Key for the last week or so, and I'm kinda blown away. What did it for me was when I was working last Saturday. After a shift in 90+ degree heat + humidity, I had a can of Key around 4pm because it was my friend's last night in town and a group of us were all going out; I wanted to be there for her and didn't want to be yawning all night. I was dancing until 3am and had so much fun. No yawns, no crashes, no stomachaches, no jitters. Literally just the energy to have a fun night with my friends. AND I had no issue sleeping that night (probably because of the L-theanine which promotes relaxation!).I also love that Key is vegan, and the ingredient list is short, clean and all-natural. I usually drink Key straight out of the fridge, it tastes much better cold than at room temperature (ketones don't have the best taste, but they did a great job at covering it up). Ginger Lime is my favourite, Pineapple Passionfruit is a close second. My boyfriend likes pineapple passionfruit the best. Vodka Redbulls are gross (IMO) but would totally mix the ginger lime flavour with vodka for a makeshift Moscow mule.I'm generally pretty health-conscious and love nutritional science. Coffee makes me insanely jittery (even just half a cup) and Celcius makes my stomach hurt (probably from artificial ingredients, couldn't finish a whole can). I would never have either of those on an empty stomach as well, but usually have Key on an empty stomach, I also feel its effects a bit more when I do. I used to consistently have matcha + raw cacao in the mornings for the L-theanine + low-caffeine combo to put me in a focused, flow state for the day; particularly useful for studying/working. Because Key also has L-theanine and caffeine (both derived from green tea), it gives me a similar effect to get work done, but also gives me longer-lasting energy from the ketones (which also gives me a bit of a euphoric/happy feeling?? My boyfriend reported also being in a great mood after drinking a whole can too. A quick Google search has shown me that this is commonly reported with people in ketosis/on the keto diet as well.) Now, I alternate between my DIY drink and Key depending on whether I need sustained energy that day or not.If you're a nerd like me, check out these two papers about L-theanine + caffeine to see how this combination can enhance focus and attention (and it's even been suggested as an Adderall alternative too):[1] The Cognitive-Enhancing Outcomes of Caffeine and L-theanine: A Systematic Review (2021)[2] Effects of L-theanine-caffeine combination on sustained attention and inhibitory control among children with ADHD: a proof-of-concept neuroimaging RCT (2020)Finally, I also like how I am supporting mitochondria uncoupling with ketones (read Dr. Gundry for more) and love that the benefits of ketone drinks that used to only be available to support athletes and members of the military are now available for everyone to reap.Cannot recommend Key enough, I'll rave about it to whoever will listen.

Awful.
I was actually excited for these, but the flavors were bad. I tried all three flavors, but had to dump the can halfway and I don't like wasting. The ginger lime was the most palatable. The pineapple passionfruit was the worst and trying to drink it w/o tasting it was bad- like the orange antibiotic syrup you took as a child. The grapefruit peach was akin to sugar free chalky candy. I feel like the stevia killed it and they would've tasted better w/o any sugar alternative at all. I liked that it had natural ingredients, but was expecting more of a seltzer. It's a bit pricey for a 12 pack as well, but I got it as part of a rebate. Thankfully I was able to give it to someone who at least thought it was ok.

The BEST mid day pick me up! No anxious jitters!
I was REALLY excited to try Drink KEY, especially after hearing about its natural ingredients and ketone-based energy formula. As someone who’s tried quite a few energy drinks in the past, I was curious to see if it could live up to the promise of providing smooth, sustained energy without the anxious jitters or crash that I typically get from other drinks. After trying the Ginger Lime flavor, I can honestly say I was impressed. The taste is refreshing and light, with just the right hint of ginger and lime. After drinking my first one I didn’t experience that typical shaky, weird, anxious feeling that most energy drinks give me. I felt a clean, steady boost of energy that lasted throughout the day, without any energy crashes.I’ve been now incorporating KEY into my routine either in the morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up when I need a little boost. It’s been a perfect addition to my day, and I look forward to it every day! Many of the other popular energy drink options I’ve tried in the past are packed with sugar and artificial ingredients, leaving me feeling super anxious. I love how KEY is made with all-natural ingredients because I can feel the difference in how my body responds. It is definitely something I’d choose over the other popular energy drinks. After using it for a week, I can 100000% say that it’s well worth the investment. With the quality of the product, and the steady energy it provides, I feel good about putting this in my body, and the long-lasting energy makes it more than worth the price. If you’re looking for a clean, natural energy drink that actually gives you steady energy without the jitters or crash, I HIGHLY recommend giving KEY a try.
