These 18mm Tap Aerators were bought replace the non-aerator type spouts on a hand basin in a bathroom. They appear to be of good quality and weight and were easy to fit.The resulting flow on the cold water tap was reduced and filled with bubbles created by the aerator. We no longer have to worry about the water slashing out of the sink and onto the floor or your feet, plus you are saving in your water usage. The only slight problem is the flow on the hot tap was slowed too much, this is purely down to the fact that our hot water cylinder is down stairs and so the water pressure is lower. That being said, the aerator part of the fitting is removable and so we were still able to have a matching pair of taps. I shall see if I can find another insert with a higher flow per minute, but otherwise I'm more than happy with my purchase. Just make sure you double check on the size and measure the outside edge of the screw thread (on male fitting) to ensure the correct size/fitting.

The 18mil Aerator are a good product unfortunately i bought the wrong size.

Ordered this item on-line as it was very difficult to obtain locally - some hardware stores, DIY places sell them but hold very limited stocks - so I kept on finding that they were out of stock!Looked this item up on Amazon seemed to be just what I needed and at a very reasonable price. The item arrived very promptly.

We are happy with it for the price. We had to drill out some components from the middle (thread end) as it restricted the flow too much as we have very low pressure. I stopped at a happy medium but wanted more out but didn't want to ruin it completely. One thing to possibly note is that for our tap - not sure if this is the same for others - the aerator was missing an o ring. (It came with a washer at top of thread) which made it leak . Luckily I recovered one off our old one. This fitted in a groove at the bottom of the thread half way down the aerator. Together with the supplied washer made it water tight. Jobs a good 'ne

Arrived promptly from the seller. Good quality, however the wrong size ... my fault! However I now know what size I do need and perhaps for future purchases a digital caliper would be useful.

I bought this thinking it would do for our basin taps but it is minute.I've never seen a tap that small which this could be used for.haven't the heart to send it back as it was £1.96 with free postage and my mistake too!
