Worked perfect (with a heat gun)
I used these to connect an aftermarket radio harness to the factory adapter. Those connections were all made at a workbench with a heat gun. I also used them to wire an oil pressure gauge in my truck. Every connection was strong and waterproof. If you have room to work with the heat gun, the connectors are fantastic. If you are working in close quarters, these are not the connectors for you. Without heat, there is no mechanical connection. The solder, glue, and heat-shrink tubing worked better than I expected.

Solder and heat shrink seal in one step
Saw this and had to give it a try, as I’m not the best solderer in the world. Worked for me the first time. I made a little video of the process. I used a vise to hold the wires to get my hands far from the heat gun exhaust. I slipped the connector over one wire, twisted them together, slid the connector over the twisted wires and applied heat. A few seconds later, I had a strong connection.Easy peasy.

Works
I needed some quick repairs to a couple cctv camera's where the power plug wires were broken. They have ultra tiny wires in them, and this kit made the repairs so easy. A much cheaper fix than buying new cameras too. I ended up using a candle flame as a heat source, because my heat gun just over powered it (you can melt a hole in it if you are not careful)Using the votive candle flame allowed much more control over the heat source, and the cameras are all up and running now.

Works like a charm!
I have always used the crimp type connectors but many times the crimp will not hold so I also have to put electric tape on the connections. This product works like a charm. No tape because they shrink on the ends and with a little heat they will solder the connection guaranteeing a great connection. I won't use any other type of connection.

Great for use with Auto/ATV accesories.
My husband likes to keep these in stock in his garage for projects. Plastic in connectors has heat shrink built in so no need for extra heat shrink tubes. Nice variety of sizes. Nice quality material.

poor quality control
I was going to replace the four fuel injector plugs on my wife's 2005 VW Golf. The heat over 13 years hardened the release clips and they have all broken over the years. I ordered these due to the relatively good reviews. My problem is that all of the 16-22 connectors have different size ends. If my wires were 18-22 instead of 16 awg, I would be ok. One end is larger and will accept 16-22, but the other end will not accept 16 awg. I even lubricated the wire sheath with a little dielectric grease and it binds up and the connector body contorts and that is it. Sending back.

Very cool for jobs with plenty of room to work; need to use a heat gun.
This is a nice set to try out these connectors because there is a variety of sizes to fit any size of wires. I used the small white size to connect some very thin LED wires to 20 gauge wire. In one case, was able to fit two leads on one side. You definitely need a heat gun, though. Tight spaces can be a lot harder to work on in, compared to crimped connectors.

Satisfied
Tested the product using 10 AWG wires. Using a hot air station, the heat shrink seemed to seal properly. Being that it's transparent, you're able to tell the seal is good when the air pocket is reduced and having almost a wet look. Wasn't able to test, but it can probably hold up against moisture. Probably could have hit it with more heat, but the solder looks decently wicked. Did a pull test, and it held up well under decent tension. I also peeled off the heat shrink (see pic) to physically check soldering connection of the two wires. Pretty satisfied with its performance.
