Super glad I finally bought one, it has made my life so much easier and 100% less stanky. My cat is basically an illegal weapon of mass destruction when it comes to her litter box and this has "litter"-ally changed my life. It actually keeps things contained and the smell way down in potency and it is easy to use and functions well. The only thing is that I wish the size was just slightly bigger when it comes to the actual deposit area, but if your cat's poop isn't the size of a large python, it's perfect.

Have had this genie device for one week and it kept an entire week's worth of cat waste (we have 1 adult cat) easily-no odor, no mess!! It is very well designed, easy to use, and looks sleek/unobtrusive. The cutting implement inside the canister for removing a full bag is genius. This contraption has really made life easier and less smelly. Previously used poop bags and they end up stinking up the garbage can.

Overall, we've been really happy with this purchase. It makes removing and keeping used kitty litter much easier and definitely reduces the awful smell, as it smartly locks the used litter inside. The bag dispenser is a super smart idea, too. My only complaint is that it probably isn't big enough! Also, the entrance at the 'neck' of the container is a little narrow for the provided scoop, which means you need a good aim and a steady hand! But overall, a really worthwhile purchase for anyone with indoor cats.

I have an elderly (18 year old) cat that has recently decided walking through the length of the house to use the litter box is not acceptable, so she started going on the carpet in my bedroom. I wasn't particularly thrilled about a litter box in my room, but didn't have many other choices. I figured out real quick that something like the diaper genie would be really handy and make cleaning the litter box daily less of an annoyance. It does a good job of capturing the odors, I think the capacity of litter that can go in a bag before it needs to be tied off and dumped is really good, and appreciate the scoop holder on the side of the unit. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I'd prefer a diaper pail design to seal in the smell and eliminate the proprietary bags, but I'm pleasantly surprised with the Litter Genie in actual operation. Despite being all plastic, it's quite durable and a good value at this price point. It's a minor pain to deal with the bag rolls, but it's not a complex process. The design does do a decent job of locking in the smellsI've already got a couple of heavy duty litter scoops, but the included scoop is quite functional and it's handy to have one item to carry between boxes. I was concerned that the litter deposits would stick to the plastic in the upper chamber, but this not been my experience. I haven't noticed any smell emanating from the LG and it seems to be cat approved. I was previously keeping my deposits in old litter pail with kitchen garbage bags, but when I opened it to add new deposits, my litter inspector demonstrated that it needed to be buried.
