Wireless Meter Model WM-1000: Above Ground 1″ Flow Meters

Great device. Use with my Rachio. Accurate depiction of water usage to mitigate cost in a cost punitive Enviornment. Easy to pair but after a year of use I had to replace my backflow. Somehow lost pairing in process. Customer service replaced entire system. They were very responsive. Second device is working great! Good product and people.

First of all, this meter states to not install it inside. I would be very hesitant to install this outside personally as we have freezing temperatures yearly. This PVC meter would burst under those conditions. I can't see a reason for it not to be installed inside other than if leakage were to happen. All that being said, I have installed this inside. If you've done plumbing before, this install shouldn't be a problem. I've checked the meter against filling a 5 gallon bucket and it seems accurate. Overall, this meter has worked well, but unless you do not have freezing temperatures, I would be hesitant to install this outside.

Hard pass! This flow meter arrived adequately protected inside of a generic box. The instruction guide appears professionally produced and utilizes adequately worded English. The pipes appear to be pretty standard for use with water. The issue arose upon inspection of the flow meter itself. I was quite displeased with the quality of build as it looks and feels like cheap plastic. The user interface appears crooked and the display appears shoddy at best. It is clearly stated on the item that this is not to be installed indoors and that it is an above ground flow meter, but I can't help but question it's durability in wet weather as nothing about this appears to be water resistant. In my experience, this seems grossly overpriced for the quality. This one is a no for me.

This above ground flow meter from EveryDropMeters was a nice upgrade to my irrigation system. For a long time, I've wanted to add flow metering but haven't been able to find a solution that seemed like it would integrate properly with my existing equipment and piping. When I saw this WM-1000 model, it seemed like it would be a good fit as it indicates it was specifically designed to interface with Rachio type systems. It was not difficult to install into the piping of the system, and the location was ideal in terms of the distance between the controller and the meter unit on the WM-1000, based on the specifications in the instructions.As far as getting communications established that took me a few cycles, but I think that was my fault in terms of the sequence. I reread the instructions several times, took a few hours to clear my mind, and when I came back I went back through the process everything synced up just fine. Maybe it wasn't me, I dunno, but a little patience ultimately went a long way. The installation was during the off-season, so there wasn't much work for it to do, but now that we're into spring and heading toward warmer weather, I expect that it should start really contributing to the intelligence of my controller soon, and I'm looking forward to seeing what it can tell me about how to improve my conservation efforts.I'm impressed by the straightforward design, and I appreciate the detail in the instructions. I don't know about value, as I don't know much about how to valuate flow meters in general, but as one-time costs go, it doesn't seem excessive considering the data that it will be returning on a regular basis and the potential benefits that can be gained from that data.

Product arrived in great condition boxed well protected with foam wrapping and solid pieces. Instructions included all parts ready for assembly. Has work fine connecting to the pipe on a range system.

I already meter this trunk line but feel like I want to divert off a branch from it to go to a separate area and meter it separately later. But first I want to know the flow for this section of the pipe that will remain the same. It already has its own dedicated meter for the line but I will soon want to know the division of what's coming through. Meanwhile i was able to test this mini-meter against the numbers from the standard meter, and after a month or so of use I'm seeing them spot-on. So it's very accurate, and I haven't gotten to the fancy features yet, but for just plain metering from a certain staring point, it's very good at a wide range of flow rates we have in this line.

I purchased this from Rachio and not AMazon. However, I feel it important to write a review here since they don’t seem to allow it on EveryDrop or Rachio’s websites. I bought this in early March ‘24 and had multiple emails with EveryDrop until they just dropped me. This device does not work and I cannot return it since EveryDrop will not return my emails. Note, they do not have a phone number either so that should tell you something about it I guess. I would give it less than one star if I could. This thing is a zero to me.
