I had some issues with water damage from water getting into my door so I grabbed these when replacing the speakers and they've worked perfectly so far. They're snug but the fit is good. Added benefit of separating the air from the front and rear of the speaker. Installation is pretty easy. Really good value. I can't really comment on sound quality difference because I installed them straight away with me speakers

These are meant to protect your speakers from any water that runs down your window and gets into the door. But something else they did, because of the face of the silicone sticks out an extra inch and a half or so, it's funneling all the sounds from the speaker right out the door because the silicone is seating against the back of the door panel. I have a set of pioneer six and a half three ways, and it actually sounds like I upgraded the door speakers. The pioneer sound pretty good to begin with but adding these made a huge difference. There's so much more sound coming through the door speakers now. And it literally sounds like I upgraded speakers or doubled my amps power, it's a pretty big difference.
