I absolutely LOVE this monopod because it takes a fraction of the space of a conventional tripod, making it less likely to be tripped over, and way more versatile to move around.I love the fact that I can fit it into tight spaces that were too small for a tripod such as between my desk and a nearby bookcase. In fact, the flat bottom even lets you slide it under furniture so you have even more flexibility to move it right next to other furniture or move it so the pole is right against a desk and the base slides nearly underneath it. For that reason alone it's the perfect mount for a lot of content creators who do talking head videos while seated at a desk.The biggest thing for me is that I'm also a lot less likely to trip over the legs in my cramped studio space. The base is just the right size to ensure it remains stable, but for those who are concerned about tipping it over, you can easily place sandbags or weights on the flat bottom.The top of the pole is a standard screw mount, so you can attach floating heads, lights or just about anything.It's well made and very sturdy, and it locks in place with even the heaviest camera or lighting rig.

Why am I just finding out about this space saving gem. Love the ease of placing this in small spaces and not worrying about tripping hazard for clients.

This is a god send. As a documentary maker who often interview people in their homes, floor space is always at a premium and light stands are among the biggest hogs. This monopod is plenty sturdy, very hard to tip over, takes up a fraction of a light stand's footprint and remains flush to the floor. The lighting unit connectors could be a bit more versatile (it's a very cheap fix) and the rubber ring around the base either snapped in transit or wasn't intended to quite go around it. But again, it was easy to fit back around. I tried it with several lighting units and it proved solid and steady with all - at least as much as a traditional lighting tripod. I will likely pick up at least one more in the future.

If you have a small studio set up, this is what you need! Great quality, sturdy and really clean up your studio nicely!

The price seemed a bit much, but when I received the item, it all made sense. It is well crafted and sturdy, and it even has a soft underlining to prevent wood floor scratches. It looks professional.

I bought a 2 pack of the A400s and a single A300. I love them. They are much better than a tripod and light stands that take up so much space and present too many tripping hazards for me at 76. I was worried they wouldn't hold my heavy lights and camera with a big lens, but they did! I photograph food from a corner of my bedroom, so space is a big issue. In the picture, my set-up is tucked away in the corner. The lights and camera are pulled out when I am working, and they do not budge! The first image is the before, and the second is the after, with my new stands. I couldn't be happier!
