Pleasantly surprised. I very much enjoy the feeling.The overall quality is solid. The stitching is sturdy and neat, and I didn't have any seams that were uneven or coming apart.The cooling effect does work. It's not insane, but they do help with avoiding all the heat that usually gets stored in your pillowcase. They do work much better with a quality pillow, but they help a bit with budget pillows, if that's all you have. These work the absolute best with pillows that have a hex patterned gel/silicone face. The combo of that and this was actually insane, and I loved it.They hold up to washing well, but I recommend using cold water and a mild detergent instead of throwing them in with the rest of your clothing.They're great though. It's a solid recommend for me.

I am definitely a hot sleeper and usually have 5 or 6 pillows around so that I can switch them out during the night as they get hot and I want a new, cooler one (along with 3 fans going at all times). I thought I would give these a try and see if they really stayed cool -- and I have to say I am pretty impressed with their performance.There were 2 pillowcases in the pack. I used them on regular standard pillows after washing and they were a bit big (as they are Queen size -- so bigger than standard pillows but smaller than king pillows) but they have a flap on one edge that folds over the end of the pillow and the pillow stayed in place just fine during the night, so no issue using these on standard pillows even though a bit large.The fabric, even out of the bag and even after washing was truly icy to the touch -- it felt AMAZING! It is hard to describe the material because it is silky (not quite satiny) and a little stretchy -- the best I can compare it to is a silky pair of underwear-- not a great example, but the material is very nice and smooth and definitely cold.SLEEP TEST: I slept with the pillows and though where they actually contact your head/neck they don't remain icy cool (they do warm -- but I cannot imagine how they wouldn't), they are still comfortable and not noticeably hot. Let's just say that I didn't wake sweating with a hot pillow under my head. The rest of the pillow remains icy cold and the warmed contact spot cools almost immediately back to an icy feel almost as soon as you remove your head, which is very nice -- no more throwing the pillow on the floor to change out to a new one. I found I was able to stay with just one of these pillows all night and did not have to keep changing out pillows to cool down -- which is a vast improvement over normal nights for me.So, I would have to give these pillowcases a thumbs up for hot sleepers. They truly are icy to the touch to start with; though they warm some with body contact it doesn't become hot or uncomfortable during the night and the rest of the pillow remains icy cold; and they almost immediately cool back down once you lift your head. I cannot imagine a cooling case performing much better and I was impressed with these. These are a winner for me!UPDATE 1/30/24 - I have been using one of these pillowcases nightly and after a couple weeks it has lost its ability to be icy cold (the one I have on a pillow I am not using much at the moment is still icy to the touch). So, I don't know if there was a coating that has worn off or if the fabric just changes with time and the oils on your skin. It is still very soft and smooth and I still like it as a good quality pillowcase, it just no longer gets cold, so I am dropping a star.

I am very much hotter than most people. Not hot as in attractive but temperature wise. I got a cooling blanket in the hopes it would help me through the hours I sleep. I really, really liked that one and was excited to see something with the same Q-Max number. No joke, this item almost feels like it was made custom for my personal needs.The pillow has a very soft texture and has a beautiful light blue colour which is very much to my liking. In my bedroom, I sort of have a bluish, greenish, and beige colour scheme going and this fits perfectly.This has the softness and feel of silk but the crazy thing is, it has a better glide than any other silk pillowcase I've tried. I like silk pillowcases but one thing that I am not a fan of was with the sort of shininess. Some people might like it but, to me, it feels flashy and unflattering in my eyes. If you've tried them before, I'm sure you know what I mean. This one does not have that issue. It looks just like any old pillowcase, but, of course, this one has a secret superpower.The main factor I was looking for was how cool it was. I have tried probably every "cooling" pillowcase from silk ones to bamboo ones and even some specially designed pillows to feel more cool. They are not bad per say but this might be the new favorite if it performs as well now as it does in the future. It is the coolest set of pillowcases I've invested in and I am so glad to have these in my possession.I know this review is getting way long but I really think these are such a perfect fit for me and could be for others like me. I do not have any association with the brand. I was not incentivized in any way to write this which some might suspect from such a glowing review. I just really like this and want to shout it from the mountaintops to the fellow hot sleepers. I am serious when it comes to pillowcases due to my general "hotness" and have tried dozens along the way. If I don't have issues going forward, this one would be my one pick.
