Bear Motion for Google Pixel XL 2 - Shockproof TPU/PC Fusion Cover Case for Google Pixel XL 2 (Black)

What I didn't realize (maybe because I rush and don't pay attention) is that this is a two-piece case. The inside piece is a silicone skin of sorts, then there's a hard outer shell that goes over the top. There are buttons built into the case but they stick out way too far when the case is on. The good is that there is a great deal of protection with this case on, the bad is that it makes an already big phone that much bigger. Not just around the sides (the buttons are big, did I mention that?) but also around the front where it's sure to gather dust & dirt.

This case fits my pixel 2xl perfectly, buttons click better than without the case and It feels like it will really protect my phone. Simple, effective, Great case.

This case is much larger than I expected. The buttons on the case feel soft and mushy compared to the buttons on the phone.Neither of those alone are necessarily deal breakers, but what I couldn't get over was the smell. This case has an extremely strong chemical smell, not unlike that of ammonia or cat urine. Thankfully, the smell didn't transfer to my hands during the short time I handled the case, but it is not something I want near my face.I've used Bear Motion cases for my last 3 phones and have loved them. This case is not up to the standards I grew to expect for this company.

This case is about a half millimeter too small in the side to side and top/bottom dimensions AND is not flexible. I crammed the phone into the case several times in different ways to try and see if I could get a better fit.
