Indication: dry eye Composition: A sterile solution containing sodium hyaluronate (1mg in 1ml), citric buffer and sorbitol. Description: Hylo-Comod is a sterile solution for a better humidification of the ocular surface in disorders of its sensitivity caused by external influences, as for example dry eye, foreign body eye sensation, or eye burning (like sand being in the eye). Hylo-Comod does contain neither phosphates, nor preserving agents, the drops can be used also by contact lens wearers. Use: in general, drop one drop into each eye 3x daily, it is possible to use the drops more often. If you need to use the product more often than 10x daily, get your eyesight checked by an ophthalmologist. Notice: if you use other eye drops, the interval between application of the drops and Hylo-Comod should be at least 30 minutes with eye drops applied at first. The bottle content can be used for up to 6 mounths after the first opening. As a matter of fact, the tear film that covers the ocular surface has a fairly complicated structure. An outermost thin lipid layer slows down the evaporation of the underlying aqueous phase. The aqueous phase plays an important role in supplying the ocular surface with oxygen and nutrients. An even distribution of the tear film over the eye is guaranteed by a third, i.e. a mucin layer, which is in direct contact with the cornea and conjunctiva When the tear film breaks up An insufficient tear film production or a change in its composition means that the tear film can no longer form a continuous layer, i.e. it breaks up (Figure 2). As a consequence, the ocular surface cells are deprived of oxygen and nutrients leading to cellular damage that in turn causes itching, burning and a foreign body sensation. These symptoms are often accompanied by pain. In the advanced stage dry eyes can lead to a damage of the cornea and conjunctiva. Sodium hyaluronate guarantees optimal lubrication he naturally occurring endogenous sodium hyaluronate is ideall

Not a magic bullet for dry eyes, but does seem to work better for me than locally available options
I wish I didn't need to get eyedrops shipped from … the Ukraine? I hadn't noticed that these eye drops have Ukrainian labels, so I can't read any of the info on the bottle. But they're intuitive to use, and seem to work better than the Systane and Refresh eye drops that I have easier access to.I still find that I need an eye ointment (VitA-POS is working well for me evenings), but these are decent as a compliment to the ointment. With the ointment + these drops my eyes finally don't hurt constantly, and my vision is a little clearer! It's been a relief.

It's the cat's pajamas.
I had cataract surgery two years ago, and haven't found any eye drops made for dry, itchy eyes that were worth a hoot until now. I use one tiny HYLO Comod drop in each eye every morning. My eyes have never felt so comfortable, and it lasts all day. I'm sold.I noticed several reviewers of Hylo Eye Care products complaining about the package labeling from "the" Ukraine...Phrases like, "don't feel comfortable putting Ukrainian drops in my eye", "safety standards are unknown and certainly not as high as Canada's or the United States'. ", "wife was afraid to open package", "dollars wasted", and so forth...That's just silly.Regardless of packaging language, every container of HYLO Eye Drops by Hylo Eye Care/Ursapharm of Saarbrücken, Germany, meets all Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) as issued by regulatory authorities throughout the world (including the USA). They list minimum standards for the safe manufacture, storage and distribution of medicinal drugs, devices and all associated records. It requires that medicines are of consistent high quality and are appropriate for their intended use.In other words, Ursapharm meets seriously rigid international regulatory standards. Compare that to the $30 billion a year we Americans spend on dietary supplements and herbal medicines - that are NOT subject to similar mandatory testing, manufacturing, and processing standards of safety and quality. Yet we don't seem to mind tossing down a handful of pills that could just as easily contain sawdust and powdered mosquitos for all we know...Anyway, URSAPHARM also developed the unique COMOD delivery system. It keeps the liquid sterile and sealed up nice and airtight so they don't have to use preservatives of any kind. I think that's pretty cool.Okay, the one-drop pump gizmo takes a little getting used to, but if you can pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time, you'll get it down easy.Like the lady said, it's pretty intuitive, but if you need instructions in English on how to use it - at least the first time - you can go to the website <https://hylo.de/en/products/interesting-facts/use-eye-drops/>.So relax, people. Just try it if you haven't tossed it out yet. I've been using HYLO Comod for a while now, and my eyeballs have yet to shrivel up and fall out of my skull.I sure can't say the same for "Clear Eyes" Eye Relief. Wow, that stuff burns like a Glasgow bikini wax. You'd be better off squirting Tapatío hot sauce in your eye.

Are the directions were written in Ukrainian- and there wasn’t an English equivalent. I wasn’t comfortable using and had to dispose of it.

Roommate requested this product after not finding it where she usually does. She was quite happy to receive it.
