I have a 57 pound standard poodle. She is extremely active in the car and I have looked for items to secure her safety. One of the first things I purchased was a sling cover for the backseat of my 2015 Subaru Forrester . The brand I purchased was highly rated connected with a dog kennel club and protected my backseat adequately especially from water but was slick for my dog's paws and allowed her to slide around more than I would like even though I had a vest on her attached by a seatbelt. In addition to slipping on the seat, her sliding made noise that was a little annoying and the flap that comes across the back of the front seat did not hold firmly or in a way that I felt comfortable when she pulled forward. As a result of my concerns I began researching for a better mat for the back of the car and I came upon this one with the deluxe removable velvet cover. After much research I purchased this seat cover. When it arrived my husband installed it and said it was a much better fit and more secure on the seat. We immediately felt this was a much better fit for our car. The side flaps protected the edge of the backseat of our car much more than the other one. Once it is secured around the back of the four head rests the divider keeps her from pushing her long nose and neck so she is much more secure. There is also a zipper down the divider that keeps her safely behind the front seats that can be unzipped to allow you to remove the lopp around the heads rest and drop the side for a human passenger and still keep the sling in place on the dogs side. This is a great feature. The velvet cover gave her a much better footing for sitting on the backseat Without slipping and she showed her pleasure immediately by rubbing her head on it and lying down much more than she had before. The fit of the car seat cover is great and access to the seatbelts are perfect. The added pocket is a plus for putting her leash in for when we get her out of the car and anything else you might want to carry. It has a Velcro tab to close the pocket from pain muzzles. We still have the protection of a water resistant layer to protect seat covers and keeping the back seat clean. The ability to remove the velvet cover for washing is a great plus. Also, with summer here, I believe this material does not get as hot when the sun shines in the car while parked so when we put her back in the car, the seat covering is more comfortable than the slippery fabric cover that I believe retained a little more heat. Tilly definitely gives this backseat cover five paws up from the one she had before. In summary it fits the backseat of our Subaru much better, is very secure, is comfortable, and it came with a hairbrush as a little extra bonus. The price was very good for what I consider a high-quality backseat cover. In addition just from an ascetic sense the seat cover looks so much better than the one I had before. I would not hesitate to purchase this seat cove again. I now feel my precious girl is much more secure riding in the back when we go around corners and down hills and she is able to hold her footing on the seat without slipping. She also loves the divider to sit back, straight up, and feel like she is in the front with us watching out the window crazing down the road.

GET IT. I have a Toyota Rav4 SUV and the large fits PERFECTLY. The color matches my light and dark grey closth seats. I searched for HOURS online to find a dog seat cover that would not tear easily and was made of a good material (as very few on Amazon are) that is under $45. It has all the features you need, like a pocket for his leash on the side of the hammock, elastic straps on the underside of the seats to further help it not move, a zipper down the middle of the front part of the hammock so I can take one side down but not the other, PLUS it has a super plush detachable cushion for my dog so he is not laying on slippery plastic! The majority of the seat cover is a nice denim-like plastic. The buckle straps do seem like they could get loose with a 100+ lb dog laying on the hammock side, but that is not a huge deterent for me. I can just tie them if need be, but we will see. I was very skeptical about buying a seat cover online, especially with all the negative reviews about tearing and loose straps, but this one is GREAT!

It would be hard for me to overstate how much I love this car seat cover. I have a 2018 Kia Sorrento, and the cover fits like it was custom made for the car. The detachable pad is a great feature. It takes most of the wet and dirt from getting the dog in and out of the car, and you can easily remove it for washing. It washes beautifully. Love the pockets, where I stash the leash and maybe a small towel. Keeps the leash so handy when it's time for a rest area break. The hammock style is just wonderful - keeps the dog in her own little cozy space, where she is not able to invade the driver's space. I just don't know when I have ever spent under $25 on something that I felt gave so much value! I looked at a lot of dog seat covers on Amazon and evaluated all their various features before choosing this one. I could not be happier.

I used a older seat cover that was a woven plastic that was slippery. I had to go incredibly slowly to stop the dogs from being thrown around when cornering, and they had no grip when braking sharply.This cover makes all the difference. The dogs are completely comfortable cornering at reasonable speeds and have great grip due to the rubber dots on the bottom, and the grippy pad on top.The only problem I encountered is that my car (a Chrysler 300) doesn't have removable head rests in the back to attach the cover to. I ended up clipping the rear attachment loops together to form small loops,, and then using a carabiner clip to attach the loop to the baby seat attachment points on each side. If the cover came with a 6 ft long strap with clips to loop all the way across the back seat it would have worked better in this car, possibly still with a carabiner clips to hold it down.

For once, I'm glad I trusted reviews here! I was thrilled to find a cover/hammock that wasn't black. The grey is true to the picture & rich looking - not too light or dark. The burnout bone pattern on the attached pad is plush & adorable! I have a Kia Sportage & had to tuck maybe 1/2" on on one side at the top, otherwise the fit is great and was easy to install. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because my dog was able to jump the hammock after scoping it out for less than 5 minutes. She's a 22# rat terrier mix with insane determination & long legs, though. I will say she was more intrigued with mastering it than getting in my lap! Even without the hammock feature, it is worth the money, just know you may still want to use a tether or other restraint with it.
