Does exactly what I needed it to do!
If you experience a no passthrough, black screen. Remote connect to your device and check your video settings! Read On.I have a 4-port KVM with dual HDMI. I run a mixture of Windows and Linux systems (Mint, Ubuntu). When switching my Windows computers. They sync up quickly, about a second. The Linux systems are a different story. The displays black out for about 10 seconds, per screen. I’ve been trying to fix this in software with no luck. A hardware solution seems easer. I hoped these EDID passthroughs would solve my problems, and it did. However! When I first connected the passthroughs. All I saw was black screens with an occasional flicker. Like it was trying to sync but couldn’t do it. When I remote connected. I found out why. The OS detected the passthrough as a 4K compatible display. Then the OS bumped my resolution up to 4K. Thanks Linux! Unfortunately, my displays are 2K. Once I checked the resolution back to 2560x1440. All works as expected.Additionally, the description says no DP->HDMI adapter support. Maybe they are referring to passive adapters. I am using an 4K active DisplayPort to HDMI 1.4 adapter. The passthrough is working great.

Does what it says it will
Now, I humbly request that the manufacturer make another product, or if they already do, tell me how to get it:I want something identical to this with the added feature that it translates computer sleep display commands to HDMI CEC TV OFF commands and converts computer wake display commands to HDMI CEC TV ON commands. If they added that set of features then my $399 4k 43" TV would act just like a 43" 4k computer display. With this pass through, as delivered, all I have to do is the manual TV on in the morning where as without this device, I'd lose TV audio (unless I rebooted) and I'd have to put all of my app windows back the way I left them the day before. If that add translation between computer display commands and HDMI CEC TV commands, then I'd just pick up where I left off by waking my computer.Awesome 4k 60hz product! Awesome price.Note for new users, if you hot plug this device, perhaps this only occurs with TV off, it will start out at 1080p, then when you go to display settings the max available will be a 2k resolution. Once you apply and verify the highest resolution, your computer will detect the 4k resolution. Once you set it to 4k, your computer will think the 4k display is there and maintain the state of that screen even when your TV sleeps or turns itself off after your PC sleeps, and then when it wakes, your screen will still be the way you left it (even if you can't see it), even if you forget to turn your TV back on for a while.

Does not work with 4K as advertised
I bought this specifically for 4k resolution, yet it refused to work after 1920x1080. No way to configure and the "documentation" (if you want to call it that) is basically the amazon description, which is useless. Not labeled, so if you have a bunch of these for KVM setups, etc, you better label it yourself. It does work for 1920x1080 and no matter what I do if I try to output more it throws "input out of range" error on the monitor.Returned.

Great price and suffices for some PC use! But I've upgraded since...
So this started off as a 5-star review because there was seemingly no other option, but now that I've found a better option, I rated this more accurately as 3 stars. Here's why..If you have general EDID issues or just need to be able to turn off the 4K display and keep it "connected" headless, then it's great. If you use it for PC and only use it for movies/videos or if you let Windows ruin the 4K experience by making everything larger than its default size, you should be fine.However. If you are a PC user, like myself, who uses a 4K TV for monitor space, productivity, etc, then make sure you know what you're getting into and learn what chroma is. This device will not pass a chroma test, which means pixel-thin fonts are hard to read, and smallish red text is almost actually impossible to read, as the monitor is not getting all the information it needs. The colors are being compressed without all the color information. I can only assume this is 4K 60hz 4:2:0 chroma where it needs to be 4k 60hz 4:4:4 chroma for optimal use. That said, I bought this amazing Prophecy 4K EDID Emulator & Feeder" and, while it cost more, can run at 8-bit 4:4:4 eliminating my issues. So to get to the point, you can use this device as a cheap alternative if the device in question is only for movies, videos, or anything that's not a full 4K PC workspace. Otherwise, it may be worth the extra money to do it right. For me, it absolutely was worth the upgrade to the other device.

Great for Computer Multi-Display Setups
We used this to solve a "loss of sync" issue with multiple HDMI displays. We have a computer that drives 4 separate outputs. 2 of the outputs are HDMI and would lose sync whenever we powered on or off the TVs plugged into them. With these adapters, we have no more sync issues. Also, one of the displays was plugged into a full size DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and this adapter works flawlessly. This is despite the description staring that it does not work with "DisplayPort" adapters. Our adapter is a full size (not mini) Active adapter, if that makes a difference. We do not run audio to any of the TVs in this setup, so for us, the concerns about being limited to 2 channel audio are not applicable. If you have a multimedia setup that requires keeping HDMI displays in "sync" all the time, this is a great option. No more desktop re-arranging each time you power on or off a TV.For others who may end up here with our specific use case:We use these adapters on a Multi-Media Windows computer running "Pro Presenter". The HDMI displays are connected via Monoprice HDMI to Cat5e adapters. This whole setup, with FUERAN HDMI adapters has been rock solid for several months.Prior to adding the adapters we consistently had sync issues with the displays. The display assignments would re-arrange on TV power on/off and also the refresh rate would change from 59/60hz to 61hz and cause display instability.

Saved us for a gig
Laptop to a splitter to 2 TVs and a Hollyland Mars 400S (wireless HDMI). The Hollyland didn't like that the laptop was seeing the TV EDID. One of these units before the splitter fixed the EDID issue which made all the devices happy.

Only lasted 5 months with roughly 85 hours of use before it died.
I purchased 2 units to sit between the outputs of 2 machines connected to a 1080p projected behind a HDMI Switch. This system is used only on Sunday mornings for Church services and only for 3 hours maximum at a time and they should be well within their capabilities as we're only using 1080p, not he 4K they're supposed to be capable of. Unfortunately, one unit failed in this very short lifespan and at this price point, I expected a whole lot more for my money. I saw similar units on AliExpress for 1/5th of the cost, but I purchased here because I thought these units coming in at a higher price point could be trusted. Obviously not.
