The media could not be loaded. I was struggling with the water since my tanks stays outdoors! I tried water changes daily but the water would turn back to green real quick. Long story short, I wasn't able to see my fish if they were more then 3 inches away front the front glass. I bought this UV light, and first I connected it to an extra water pump I have, I saw it started to have some effect, now I have it connected directly to the outtake from my canister filter. I believe it has been 3 week and the and the water now is Crystal clear. This is this is a good product!!

I was skeptical but after 2 years of trying to get the algae out of my koi pond I was almost ready to fill the hole back up with dirt. The water looked like green pea soup. After installing this uv light, the algae was gone in 2 days. I can’t believe how well it worked. The water isn’t clear yet, but there is no algae. Hopefully I can finally get some fish soon.

I've had about 15 different UV pond lights over the past few decades.This one is junk.First off, it leaks horribly fresh out of the box. I loaded it with thread tape and still couldn't get the leak to stop completely.Second, after about 30 hours of use, it began tripping the GFI. So there is obviously a short being caused by water getting to the ballast. (Judging by its design, the is 100% plausible.)I ordered it sooner than I needed it, so of course, by the time I got around to using it, the return window had expired.I 'may' be able to rig it up so it doesn't short anymore, (Fingers crossed) but it will be a permanent fix that won't allow me to change the UV bulb once it goes bad. Either way, out of the box, this thing is junk. Do not buy.

This product is perfect, easy to install, and it eliminates the green growth of algae in my pond. It took ten minutes to install, and solved my algae problem in two weeks. Absolutely clear water now has made my huge goldfish happy

Pics are from day 1, day 2, and day 4, only reason im not giving 5 stars is because assembly without leakage was a bit of a pain i ended up using a little silicone on rubber washer and threads to prevent leakage but once i got it sealed up this thing worked waaaay better than expected! My pond is approximately 150 gallons and in direct sunlight all afternoon in arizona and once temps hit above 80 my pond was so green i couldn't see the fish at all, i tried algea fix and barely straw first but nothing could keep up with the algea growth, once i got this thing up and running i saw results very quickly, by day 4 it was crystal clear and fish seem happy and healthy. Definitely worth a try if you are fighting algea in your pond

I got this to use in conjunction with a filter and ozone machine to keep my cold plunge water clean. The unit itself took maybe 4 minutes to assemble and seems to be working perfectly. I love the clear fittings on the inlet and outlet that allow you to see that the light is functioning properly. 2 months now and the water is still crystal clear.

I purchased this uv light and about 6 months later I noticed my garage floor was wet. Found pin holes on stainless steel canister. Contacted seller and was given a 2nd one at no cost. 3 weeks later and the top has a pinhole hole and water on the floor again. Not for saltwater!
