This SZELAM Projection Alarm Clock has quickly become my favorite bedside companion. First review EVER!! The clock is the size of an Apple iPhone Pro. I have the clock sitting in a position according to the way I sleep, if I turn one way I see the clock and if I turn another way I see the projected time. There are dimming light settings for the clock and the projection, so the brightness doesn’t disturb your sleep. I know we live in a day and age where you could just use your phone BUT I personally like a physical clock and I always have since I was a teenager. When I’m getting ready for work or an event there’s something aggravating about carrying my phone from room to room and tapping it to see the time but that’s just me. You can adjust the time to whatever color you want and I chose red because that’s the color I’m use to and it’s less harsh on my eyes in the middle of the night. The projection even has a setting that allows you to rotate the time if you want the projection on the wall opposite the physical clock and if it’s a nice distance away from the clock, the projection is huge (for ppl that need glasses to focus). $20 well spent! I LOVE IT!!!

This clock has been perfect for our kids. We’ve have a black on and a white one. We’ve had these over a year. Our favorite features include: being able to change the color of the time and the color bar underneath, even having rainbow, being able to adjust the projection of time (location and orientation), having an alarm, adjusting the brightness, easy to change for daylight savings!

Nice basic clock. Large dial display with time only and nice color options. YES THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS. A previous customer might have gotten a re-pack without the book. Set up was also very easy. No focus or orientation ability for the ceiling display but if the clock is facing you, the ceiling orientation is correct. Ceiling projector is basic red. It is not changeable in brightness or color like the face. Description is not clear about that point. I was hoping for some color and brightness options as I have some outside light bleed on my ceiling, which sometimes obscures the ceiling display at night. It is clear and readable and seems to stay in focus. The ceiling display is not really different from my previous clock. There are a few other options which I have not explored but the clock seems serviceable. I like the color options on the large readable face but wanted more from the ceiling display There is a back-up battery in the back and you must pull the plastic tap to activate it. People often miss that one. I will keep it.

I love the colorful display but I think most people, me included, underestimate the brightness. Maybe it's my white walls but it illuminates my bedroom when otherwise there would be total darkness. The instructions are lacking so I'll share the answers I received. To dim the numbers display, press but don't hold the 3rd button from the left (+). It will cycle through 4 brightness levels then turn off. Pressing again restarts it at its brightest level. It says the default is a 12 hour cycle but mine came in the 24 hours cycle. To get it to 12 hours and to show am/pm, press but don't hold the 1st button on the left (set). There is a button on the back that adjusts the brightness / color of the base light which can be turned off if not wanted. I haven't used the alarm, I prefer my phone for that and I have not tried the phone charge USB option on the clock. It would be a perfect clock for a child's nightlight or for anyone who wants to sleep in a room with some light on. I just turn it away from me when sleeping and use the light that shows up on my ceiling. That, to me, is one of the best features. I wish the projection was a full 360 degress, in some positions the light on the wall/ceiling is reversed and that can be an issue. I've only had it a week but the time is accurate and doesn't need adjusting after being set. Overall I love the colors of the light and would recommend it. Just remember, it is very, very bright and at its dimmest level it is still bright for a bedroom.
