Eco Fire Front Door Solid Fuel Saver, Metal, Dark Green, 57x23x71 cm

I had low expectations compared to a Clearview stove I had in a previous house, but actually I am quite impressed. Took a couple hours faffing to fit it right, I used some heat silicone to seal the bottom and clamped in place with a G Clamp, and cured it with a heat gun- instead of drilling my granite hearth. Have fired up on normal housecoal and the glass has stayed pretty clear- the "Air wash" is quite effective, so money well spent. I havnt given it 5 stars as the engineering and design is a little unfinished when you look closely, however overall it is a neat and nicely designed bit of kit, and complements my fireplace well, don't know where the "green" comes from in colour as it's definately black- just to reassure any potential buyers! The glass came broken in the manufacturer's sealed box- as they hadn't taken the glass out and packaged separately, but my supplier got me a replacement within 10 days.I use it with a Grant Triple Pass Backboiler- I removed its damper and used the new damper bolted to this door unit, seems effective and you can adjust the throat plate for your chimney.

Excellent product fitted completely over my fireplace! The only issue was that it needed sealing around unit with a heat resistant bond to prevent any fumes escaping from the unit! So purchased a quality bond when buying this item!

So 1st fine buying it, it did not turn up.I reordered it again and it turned up smashed to bits the glass, it was all scratched, it was missing parts off it, the box was Also damaged and was put into another box by the delivery company also it has someone else’s address on it on a amazon label, so I’m guessing it was a previous return from someone else and the box was taped up with packing tape so I’m guessing that is when the previous person had re sealed it.3rd attempt it turned up in perfect condition, fitted it easy and was looking great, but after about 3 hours after lighting a fire the whole door just fell off its frame! Trying to run around the house to find something to pick this roasting hot door off the carpet was a nightmare! It is very cheaply made and the hinges that hold to door on are just not strong enough, long enough and also are not even welded in straight Will be returning this and not reordering.... AVOID

Shoddy build, hinges weren't even holding the door on. Manufacturer's quality control passed this dangerous piece of rubbish. Returned to Amazon for refund because I certainly wouldnt waste my time on a replacement. Best part is, even though this is obviously a manufacturer's fault Amazon will only refund £4.75 of the return postage! For something that didn't even make it out of the box! Please do not buy this, you will regret it, spend a bit more money on a better version.
