Gary Poser here, for sure now the unofficial, unsponsored, unbiased spokesperson for the Bumpboxx Remixx!!!Between 1980-1989, I had three different quality boomboxes from (a company that rhymes with Mony Mony). I was hunting through Amazon choices last week and went with this one in blue/purple with a black case.I received it one day earlier than expected, packaged inside a foam padded box, inside a slightly larger box, inside a slightly larger Amazon box! The look and feel of this unit is AWESOME and the sound CRANKS! Also included is a quality microphone and remote with batteries INCLUDED for both! It has definite weight (about 12 lbs!) but not from the 8 D-cell batteries I’m used to; it’s from a lithium ion contraption that’s good for about 12 hours of play after charging! Bumpboxx even threw in three dry erase markers for customizing the side labels (in fairness, the black and red markers were a little dry, so I just used the blue one for the photos)! The ONLY thing better than the styling is the SOUND—all my 80’s hits from my iPhone ROCK!!! The Bluetooth connects instantly, the LED’s make it look like the cassette tape is rolling—what else can I say?? My ultra rad girlfriend, Misty Menthol, even approves! She said to bring it with me to meet her behind the dumpster at Applebee’s tonight, loaded with The Best of REO Speedwagon! You will NOT regret this purchase!!!

So first of all I must admit just like in the title I said this speaker's appearance is what won me over for the purchase but what's more fascinating is that it's a high quality sounding speaker too. It brings back that old school boom box sound. Hearing it for the first time felt like I just been transported back to the mid to late 80s when it was so cool to own a boom box. The sound quality is pretty good it has like 5 preset EQs to suit your taste of sound depending on the type of music you listen to you can benefit from the EQ sound or just leave it flat or normal. I know a lot of people want to know if the sound quality of this speaker is on the level of a high end 1,000 dollar speaker and the answer would be no but what this speaker does is bring the fun back into enjoying your music with nostalgia. This speaker does get pretty loud with little distortion in the sound. With clean punchy bass and crisp highs having 4 tweeters this thing will definitely turn heads and get attention from people and will spark conversations from strangers when you carry it around outdoors. Most people under 40 years of age might not really understand the concept of the appearance of this cassette tape replication model of this speaker but I will still recommend purchasing this speaker for its sound quality alone. I also been hearing people complaining about the bass quality of this speaker that it's lacking but with my experience I suggest using the pop selected EQ setting and then add the bass manually with the turn dial and that should balance out and increase a bit more bass but for some folks it still wouldn't be enough but in all honesty this type of speaker was just not engineered to create deep low end frequencies for heavy bass and I hope that's not a deal breaker but it maybe for some I still believe the pros out weight the cons

The media could not be loaded. So incredibly impressed with this! We got it to use as the speaker system in our home gym and it has exceeded all expectations. The sound is so crisp and clear, charges really fast and holds a charge for so long, smoothly connects to Bluetooth from our phones, has a mic that had great sound and reach, and looks so cool aesthetically. We have big plans for karaoke with this at our summer parties as well :)Worth every penny!

You’re paying for the look not the sound. Looks cool. I like the lights. The sound is mediocre at best.

Don’t be fooled by the description and the other reviews like I was! For the price I assumed it would have the best sound quality, and the fact it has bass and treble buttons. I took it out of the package and yeah, it looks amazing! Connected my phone to it and played Def Leppard’s Pyromania album. I sat across the room thinking I was gonna be blown away by the sound quality! Then the music played and the sound quality was AWFUL. A flash of hope went through me. Maybe the bass knob was at zero and not turned up? I looked and the bass knob was all the way up…. You know what? I said that it sounds like a lot of those cheap Bluetooth speakers that have no bass, yet now that I’m thinking about it, I have had way more inexpensive speakers that sounded way better than this one. For the expensive price you are paying for how cool it looks and nothing else.I think that people who have no clue about bass and sound quality will love this. “A fool and his money are soon parted,” as they say lol. I’ve already initiated a return and will drop it off at UPS later today.

I love everything about this speaker

Absolutely love the fun retro design and the variety of colors! My family loves the microphone it comes with for karaoke, especially when my extended family gets together. This is unlike any other speaker out there! It’s not super heavy either. It holds a good charge and Bluetooth connectivity.

The media could not be loaded. Small but powerful. I have a Bumpboxx Flare8 and love it, but its challenging for my wife to bring it to the baseball games and to events because of its size and weight. We needed something a little smaller and lighter but still powerful - The new Remixx is perfect. It's lightweight, easy to carry but still loud and crisp. The kids like the throwback design and the mic is a great added bonus.
