Can't say enough about this mattress. As an environmental chemist the low VOC (volatile organic compounds) rating was important to me. In the past I bought several memory foam pillows and had to return them all due to the odor (high VOCs). Couldn't stand it, and I know a little too much about some of those compounds. I was a little hesitant to buy an inexpensive foam mattress. But this was for a guest room and you can't compare the price of these items to a box spring and spring mattress. Not only was the odor dissipated after airing it out a few days it is a really good mattress that is comfortable and offers great support. I have slept on it several nights and also had someone with back issues sleep on it a few nights saying it was great. It is comparable to my $2000 Tempurpedic. Now I don't expect it to last like that one, but at 1/10 the cost. Heck you can buy a new one every few years and STILL come out ahead.

The product description claims that this is medium firm which according to their description is more hard than soft. This is far from the truth and I would rate it from soft to very soft.We laid it out and 1/3 of the mattress is just a soft foam, not memory foam and this portion provides no support. This essentially makes the mattress really about fives inches thick, not eight. Make sure you look at the full description as only two inches of this mattress is memory foam. I was fooled by the positive reviews thinking it would be good enough for our occasional weekend camping. I am a bigger guy at 6'2" and weigh in around 260 and would not recommend this to anyone weighing over 180. I sank right to bottom and my hip was resting on the ground with "eight inches" of flattened foam compressed into a half inch between me and the bed platform.I purchased on a couple reviews that said they weighed around 250 lbs and this worked great for them. Maybe they received a different mattress than I did because there is no way this mattress provides support for a 250 lb person.One positive to note is that the shipping was fast and there was minimal smell after laying the mattress out.

I read a lot of reviews & thought this was going to be the one. I purchased the Live & Sleep Classic Twin Mattress - Memory Foam Mattress in a Box - Cool Bed in a Box - Medium Plush - Firm to replace a lull memory foam I had to leave behind when I moved. The lull was a great bed but very expensive. This live & sleep brand nearly killed me. I slept on it for 2 days & literally cried in pain from my back. I only weigh 125 lbs so I'm not big but, when I sat down on the mattress it sunk in nearly to the bottom of the bed frame. It left about 3/4 of an inch in the mattress between me & the frame. I would not recommend this to anyone with back issues . I purchased another mattress & so far it's been just fine. I would recommend it. Olee Sleep 10 Inch Gel Infused Layer Top Memory Foam Mattress Blue, Twin. It's just soft enough & doesn't sink in so far you're touching the frame.

Fabulous mattress that we also have at home in a king size and our son has as a full size.Most camper mattress are hard as a rock. This one makes you think you're sleeping on a cloud! Seems really soft when you first start using it, but then your whole body relaxes and everything aligns. Happy spine, happy camping!! Fits the space perfectly, since it's a queen short. Not very heavy (you know how you have to keep track of how much everything weighs in the camper, for hauling safety.) You don't feel your partner rolling over or coming to bed either. Made in America! Low VOC, which is very important with my chemical sensitivities. The Best!!!!!!

I read all the reviews here on Amazon about this mattress and I must say I almost did not buy it because of some of them. I am glad I did buy it. We replaced our 18 year old Select Comfort bed with this mattress and I honestly feel its more comfortable than that bed was all these years. As for all the other reviews they are like Goldie Locks: too firm, too soft, just right. For us the bed is just what it says it is and a rating of 6 on the firmness scale is very fitting for how it feels. One of the best things it had no chemical smells what so ever and it does not take long to puff up. It really is a great mattress for the bargain price!

Ok, so first of all, I wish sellers and manufacturers would be more accurate in the way they list their mattresses. I really need a nice soft mattress, or when I lay on my sides, my ribs and hips and shoulders will all start to hurt on a firm mattress. So the listing for this mattress was "Live and Sleep Classic 10 Inch Plush Memory Foam Mattress - Bed in a Box with Firm Body Support, CertiPUR Certified - RV Short Queen Size" Well according to the firmness chart on the very same page, "Plush" should be next to the softest mattress there is, yet in the same listing, it says "Firm Body Support". WELL, which is it???? Very confusing!!! I decided to take a chance on it, as some reviews claimed it was nice and soft. Well, NO it is definitely NOT SOFT !!! It should not be listed as "Plush" by any means. Anyhow, I had to put a 3" memory foam topper on top of it to make it usable. I know I could have sent it back, but I felt that with the topper I could live with it. My wife prefers the softer mattress also. As far as quality, etc. I would rate the mattress 5 stars, shipping and all was excellent and the company contacted me with tips etc. So if it wasn't for the confusing listing, and the firmness of the mattress, I would give it 5 stars. By the way I am 61 years old, and I am 6'1" and about 185 pounds. Laying on this mattress I barely made a dent!
