Does the job! So many pockets.
I waited to review this WANDF expandable 17 Laptop travel backpack until I used it. After six international flights, here are my thoughts. It does what it's advertised to do really well. I found it to be sturdy, well designed, versatile. It has so many pockets, I almost need a map to keep track of what I put where in it. The anti-theft pocket is quite inconspicuous. The passport pocket under the side handle could stand to be about a half inch larger in both directions to accommodate a passport cover or wallet. It's about as comfortable to wear as can be expected, considering it's a frameless, light duty backpack. An additional adjustable waist strap would help stabilize it, and take weight off wearer's shoulders, however it's not really intended to wear as a backpack for very long at a time. It's nice that it's so large, but be aware its size and soft material makes it possible to stuff it so full it won't quite fit under an airplane seat as it's intended to. (I flew Southwest)The four side compression straps are a great feature for compressing clothing, etc. and taking some pressure off the main compartment zipper. However, the top strap then puts a lot of load on one of the outside pocket zippers. An internal sewn-in continuous webbing strap from one front buckle to the other would resolve this with out interfering with access to the external pocket. Similarly for the lower compression strap, but outside the back wall of the laptop compartment. The advertised 17 inch capacity laptop compartment just barely fit a 16 inch laptop in a thinly padded sleeve. The luggage sleeve or trolley strap for stacking atop rolling luggage with telescoping handle works OK and is handy for corralling the backpack straps. However, it would be even better with an adjustable quick release buckle, rather than the fixed length plastic hook-through-webbing-loop attachment it now has. It's difficult to fasten in a hurry, and I can easily imagine the hook breaking in the future.Wheels and a telescoping handle would be great, but now I'm being unrealistic.{grin}Overall, I'm satisfied with this product for $42USD, and recommend it to those who like the advertised features.

I tried 5 different bags.
I bought 5 different bags, and decided on this Wandf. The computer compartment is roomy, and padded, and sits directly against my back. The straps for the backpack are nicely padded, with a curvature that felt right, not wonky. There's 2 pads that rest against the upper back, and another large pad near the lower back, plus a zippered section on the lower backside, to hide all your secret stuff so nobody can pickpocket. There's even a wide band that slips down over another luggage handle, if you want to piggy back another carryon. The front has a full length plastic lined section, I guess for toiletries or wet clothes. Another smaller zippered section in front is good for your cell phone, charger, quick grab items like that snack you're gonna need on your flight. The main compartment opens down, not to the side like a real suitcase might be. But the main section is 3-day huge. Your mileage may vary. The bag will fit under the seat on Spirit, Alaska, and American (unless you overpack it). All good. It's as large as possible, without taking up any overhead bin. Of course you will need to stick this on the floor, where people put their dirty feet for long flights, so maybe take a plastic bag so you don't pick up a billion germs on your bag. Aside from that, great.

I wanted a Wandf, an Incredible $$$$ Saving Personal Size Luggage
I just received my 18 x 14 x 8 Wandf backpack and it's incredible! I fly about 10 times a year on Spirit, and for the past 2 years have flown with only a hard case 18 x 14 x 8 personal size luggage with a retractable pull handle and removable spinner wheels (Take-off brand). It's been great, saved me a ton of $ (typically $110+ on every round trip), but finally after 2 years one wheel broke off, rendering the suitcase unfixable . The only negative with my now broken Take-off was that the retractable handle within the luggage and the hard case itself takes up space (of course the positive is that it can be wheeled). And anyone that travels with only a personal carry on size 18 x 14 x 8, knows that every inch of extra packing space is valuable. In shopping for a replacement, I ran across this incredible soft side backpack luggage at 1/3 the price of a new hardcase. And because it's soft and with no internal retractable handle, I've gained extra packing space. The bonus is also the "zillions" of incredible zippered pockets (fewer are available in my previous hard case 18 x 14 x 8) for tucking all kinds of odds and ends ... laptop, passport, battery pack, and whatever you may prefer to pack away separately. One of the reviews that I read before purchasing, said that they would be willing to pay triple if the material was of higher quality. Personally, I find the material to be of a high quality to begin with. I paid $33.99 for my grey version (vs. $41.99 for all the other available colors), and if it rips or goes bad in 2 years, I'll buy a new one for another $33.99, and I'll still be ahead. In the mean time I'll earn interest on the money that I saved on this great 18 x 14 x 8 Wandf soft sided luggage.

Great bag for a personal item bag on a flight!
Nice bag, great price. Very sturdy and I packed it tight! Worked perfect for a personal item on our flight and it was only an inch smaller than the carryon I usually use. The wheels make my normal carryon too big for a personal item, but this bag carried just as much stuff. In the future, if I have a free carry on, I will have twice the storage with a carryon and personal item. Love it and would highly recommend!!
