Well Worth the Extra Money!
Amazing is an understatement when describing this product!!! While it was a bit pricier ($369.00) than the dog door we had bought and installed in our last house ($109.00 - PetSafe Wall Entry Aluminum Pet Doors), it was well worth that extra money. To start, the kit includes everything you’ll need (minus tools) to install and finish this dog door. I am attaching photos of the parts of the kit as well as the installation process. I say it is a complete kit because it has stuff included that I would have completely forgotten about; things like Loctite, weather stripping, 303 Aerospace Protectant (for preventing UV damage to sun exposed surfaces), a jigsaw blade, and it even includes dog treats to train your dog to go through the dog door!Everything fits together so perfectly, I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I’ve never had a product work so well right out of the box. The instructions are crystal clear and super easy to follow. The doors themselves are amazing quality!!! The flaps seal all the way around the door, leaving no gaps anywhere. Couple that with the fact there are two, and your mind is at peace knowing you have the most energy efficient dog door possible.Helpful notes: I traced the actual outline of the inside lip of the dog door onto the template and cut about 1/4“ around that traced line. It was significantly less cutting than the template would have been. I’m not sure exactly how it would have worked using the template as-is, but I’d recommend doing it the way I said just described to avoid potential gaps.Another thing I found useful when cutting the inside “Tunnel” pieces was to mark the line on both ends of the piece and use painter’s tape to mark my line. The sheet metal is coated in a protection oil and makes drawing on them a bit difficult without removing that oil. Also, I used tin snips (garden snips in my case because I didn’t have the proper tool) to make cuts from the edge of the pieces to the tape line, about every few inches. I then used a pair of pliers to bend the newly created “tabs” up and down until they broke of cleanly (see pictures).

Great dog door
I paid a contractor to install this door in my wall. The door is made for an 8 inch wall and mine is 9 inches. Because of this, the guy had to use wood to line the wall for the door to go into. He also had to use different bolts since the ones included were made for 8 inches of wall. Overall, the door turned out great! It looks very nice and seems really sturdy. Because of the double flaps, it is really well insulated and the cold wind doesn't get in the house. Be aware that you have to teach your dog to use the door, mine is a little timid of new things and I had to work with her about a week until she was confident enough to use the door on her own. I believe it took longer to train her because of the double flaps and width of the wall. But she learned and now she loves it! She runs in and out like she has been doing it her entire life. I love it also! No more constantly getting up to let her in or out, she is self-sufficient. I feel like the door is very well-made and durable, I expect it will last a long time. This door is expensive, but I think in the long run it will endure for years and negate the cost. I figured if I was cutting a hole in my wall that I didn't want to put a cheap, flimsy dog door into it. You get what you pay for. If you want a cheap door and buy one, just be aware you have a cheap door and it probably won't last. I am very satisfied with the Endura Pet door and would recommend it to others. If your wall is thicker than 8 inches, you will have to modify the assembly to make this door work, it clearly states this in the instructions. And if your wall is brick like mine is, you are probably better off hiring a professional to install the door, unless you are a skilled carpenter. I say spend the money and get a great product!!

Worth the purchase
We've had this for about 9 months and have had absolutely NO issues with it whatsoever. We have an English Lab, full size lab, and sheepdog. They all use it with no problem. Installation was easy if you follow the directions and have common sense when installing it. The seal is good, the noise it makes when the dogs go in/out is not bothersome, you don't feel air blowing through it when the wind blows, no leaks, and no critters/bugs can get through it (we have a chain link fence outside it though). Very well made, high quality, would definitely buy again and trust any other products they sell just based on the quality/satisfaction from this product.

Worth every Penny!
This dog flap is a great alternative to a door flap. Our new UPVC back door faces East and the wind would have howled right through a traditional dog door. But this one is absolutely perfect. It is made for American walls so was too narrow between the inner and outer door, however my husband is quite handy and he made a wider insert from metal and wood to line and insulate between inner and outer door. There is no drafts and you cant feel a cold spot in its vicinity. So glad we spent the money....not cheap but worth every penny
