Great POE Dome PTZ HD 4.0MP Camera
First, Let's begin with self introduce.I'm a professional Security Camera installer in Fl. Typically, I purchase only commercial/business quality cameras, directly from the manufacturer. When I found this dome camera, I am surprised by the features, quality and price. This is a commercial-quality camera, being sold on Amazon for a wholesale price. I've had the camera for 10 days and tried to experience all of the features. I have a pretty good grasp of the basic concepts of the technology, and understand where some of the pain points are for a user like myself, much less for a person trying to do this for the very first time.If you're looking for a camera for your home or business, here's what you'll want to know:For the price, this camera can't be beat, since it is POE, PTZ and HD with a fantastic picture. The camera is packaged very well, with snug and secure foam protection. It arrived in perfect condition. The heavy, aluminum body of the camera suggests that it will be quite durable, even if mounted outdoors (it's IP66 rated) and the "screwless" case is completely tamper-proof. The 4" base is smaller than any other PTZ IP camera I've worked with, which will give you more options for mounting on a wall or ceiling. The included mounting bracket will work for most mountings, but for some outdoor installations, I'd probably use an additional junction box to contain the cables, etc.About the camera. The picture is excellent. It is Ultra HD 4.0 MP(2592x1520 Pixel) .You rarely find others advertising higher resolutions. In my experience, this resolutions covers all your needs. I loved the PAN, TILT and ZOOM (3x) functions. They worked exactly as expected AND I really appreciated that the ZOOM works together with an Auto-Focus function keep the picture clear even when zooming (you can also manually focus for extra clarity or to change the focal point of a specific image). I also enjoyed the "Auto Pan" function, which lets you cover a wide area with constant movement (you can also create "paths" if you have specific areas you want to cover... though, in real life, I've never had much use for that function). The infrared works well (and automatically, at dark). I didn't test it to see if it really works for 65ft (it probably does), but I usually don't have my cameras focused on distances that far away. In my test scenario, it worked great at 33ft.I downloaded the Android App and played with it and was very pleased with the full functionality of the application (yes, you can pan, tilt and zoom from the smartphone app). It's very well written. The only thing I did see (and couldn't really test) was how I'd split the screen if I had multiple cameras (e.g. 4 cameras on a single screen). I believe it's supported by both the application and LEFTEK's camera, but I can't verify that. This function does not recommended as the main purpose of this dome camera is used to hook it up to a POE NVR such as Hikvision brand. One last thing: For many of my business installations, I use an NVR for recording. The included ONVIF protocol makes this camera compatible with ONVIF NVR's... a big plus for larger installations. Keep in mind that, if you want to record video, it has to be done with an NVR (not included) or a PC/Smartphone Application (included). And you can't install a memory card into this camera!OK, since nothing's perfect, you probably want to know the negatives, as well. I can help with that! my Android App, was unable to scan the QR code on the camera (since I was setting up the camera on my office network, that wasn't an issue for me... but I was surprised it didn't scan. And another problem is that the included instructions for getting started are pretty poor. I suspect, if you are never installed an IP camera, you will get scared about the complexity and can not make it work.Fortunately, they upload a user's guide on amazon site and customer support responsed every message very soon. As an experienced installer, I just needed to know the IP Address and I was "off to the races". In the instructions, they tell you where to download some great utilities (IP Search, CMS Pro, etc.), in a single download. That was a great thing to include. For less-experienced installers, they'll find those utilities invaluable.Keep in mind, you need to make the camera IP and the NVR IP the same segment IP to hook it up.Finally, I love the PTZ functions, but I would have preferred a larger zoom (maybe 20x zoom but the 3x zoom). OK, I know I'm being greedy! For most installations 3x is great, but I have some installations where I have to mount further away and the higher zoom would be helpful (but would certainly require a larger base/footprint and more expensive).Overall, this is a very good camera for professionals and less experienced installers. Certainly, if you're looking for a camera(s) for your home or small business, you'll love it. I was pleasantly surprised and I expect you will be, too.

Picture at night is useless
I thought the price was very good on this PTZ camera until I installed it. Daytime picture is very good. Nighttime picture is completely useless. I can barley even make out the vehicles in my driveway. It's as if there is fog on the lens but I cleaned it off. Very disappointing._____________________________________________________________________________________________Update:I bought 2 of these cameras and I mounted the second one yesterday. It does the exact same thing where it looks like its foggy at night. It turns out that there's moisture getting into the dome somehow. These cameras are total junk. Don't buy

Works great with HikVision NVR
Updated feedback! This is still accurate — Surprised the unit was plug-n-play and communicated well with my HikVision OEM NVR directly out of the box. This is still accurate — Disappointed in the mounting configuration, not like a HikVision style and the housing does not lock.No longer accurate — Make that improvement and I’d be a future buyer.Updated additional comments — The cameras are going back and legitimate HikVision being installed Tuesday.Correct this housing ASAP — Answer your messages herein and on Facebook. These cameras leak like no tomorrow. Even after cleaning and cleaning and putting silica inside, this camera fails with condensation issues. In addition, they are pokey to transmit and fail to keep their position or recall their last position after power removed. They immediately point straight to the ground. Not good.I’m certain they’d be good indoors but not outdoors.I was too quick to provide feedback after installing.

Condensation formed on inside of dome cover.
Would be a good camera for indoors if it didn't fog up from condensation. I hope they fix this issue. I will return this camera and look for a better solution.
