I had no problem whatsoever installing this protector onto my thick mattress. Just by using common sense I was able to install it easily and quickly. It is NOT a delicate item that will just rip apart on you. When I received the item it was exactly as I imagined - a medium light- weight cover. It is made of quality material and is well-designed for its purpose. I believe many people must believe they can just tug and pull on this thing. No, you have to ease it on EVENLY. I had no problems at all because I took my time (10 minutes). I'm very pleased with the fit and function. There was a strong plastic smell when the cover was first removed from the wrapper; but since I've installed it onto the mattress and added my mattress pad and sheets, I cannot detect any plastic smell at all.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I bought a queen size and it did not fit on a queen mattress. It was far too small and not to mention, when I went to zip it up I realized the zipper was already broken!! I tried to continue to put it on anyway and it ripped all the way up the side. When attempting a return or replacement, I was informed that it is non-refundable. (Wish I would’ve seen that before purchasing) Huge waste!!

We use this because my older cat frequently urinates on our spare bedroom bed. This protects my mattress and it’s easy to clean when needed!

You get what you pay for

These are the best! Comfortable, no noise, keeps stains and water off of mattress and very easy to clean. It fits like a deep fitted sheet but even better. It NEVER falls off with a very sturdy grip.

Don’t waste your money because you can’t return it. Feels like a trash bag and mine came ripped and the zipper is so cheapMy nail almost went through this trash bag

Ok, so this thing does work great.. It works EXACTLY the way it should.. that being said.. it is what it is... I've seen several people complain that it rips easily.. well, yeah.. it's a waterproof zippered mattress cover that cost less than 10 dollars.. what.. you expected it to be made out of indestructible material?? for 8 bucks.. lol...Anyway, so I replaced my old mattress I had bought like 14 years ago, with a brand new mattress.. I took my old queen mattress, and put it in the guest room.. well, my niece said she wanted to sleep in that room.. unfortunately, she sill wets the bed occasionally.. and when that happens, I don't want it to ruin the mattress as that's a guest room.. so I bought this protector.. a few things to keep in mind:1: If you have one of those HUGE pillow top mattresses that are EXTREMELY tall.. this won't work.. keep shopping and find one that will fit.. It won't fit on my new mattress, but I put it on my old one, which is one of those thinner, cheaper mattresses, AND it had a 40 dollar pillow top, topper, on it.. but that is seriously like a half inch thick, so it didn't really add much to the mattress, but anyway, mine fit in it.. snugly.. so any bigger and you're gonna have a heck of a time putting it on, and it will probably rip.. but if you have one of those older thinner mattresses.. this will do fine.2: when you put it on.. BE CAREFUL.. if you try and JAM it on there.. you're gonna rip it.. I know there were a few times I felt it "stretching" when trying to put it on, but.. I kept my composure, was easy with it, and eventually got it on.. It's probably best if you have help, however, I can, and did, do it by myself, but I took my time.. Once I got it on, and flattened out all the wrinkles, I was able to relatively easily zip it closed, and done..3: make sure you have room.. and don't try and put it on in another room of your house, then pick it up, and try to transport it to the room it's in.. cause when you go around corners, or whatever, it could snag and rip.. or just simply the weight from trying to hold the mattress up, using your hands, gripping it from the sides, could be enough to puncture it.. why.. because it's an 8 dollar mattress cover.. that's why.. ( you guys kill me when you spend 8 dollars on something and expect it to be indestructible. lol)anyway, follow those simple steps, and you will be happy you got something in-expensive, and it WORKS..If you're looking for something for a larger pillow top mattress, keep looking.. If you're looking for something that won't easily rip when your trying to shove it on a mattress, keep looking.. but in both respects, expect to pay much much more..

I wanted them To keep my mattresses & box spring clean from moving a few weeks ago. They drug them through the snow & then in the floor of the truck into an elevator, etc. the insides were completely dry. I wanted the zippered so they would stay on during the process. I also used the zippered on my children’s beds when they were little & potty training. Worked great.

Save your time and money, don’t buy these. I neglected to read the reviews and was very disappointed with the product. It’s exactly as reviews. My zipper broke first time putting it on and it was ripped so I was able to (after a ridiculous hassle) get a hold of an Amazon person on the phone and got a full refund. Don’t they return the light he all, it doesn’t work! Just sends you in circles. Opt to call.Also contacted the manufacture and they were unable to give me the refund but approved it via email they said I should send to Amazon. Thankfully I didn’t have to go that route.Very cheap quality! Not worth the $$$$

Fit great and does the trick

Within seconds of trying to slip them over the mattress, not 1 but 2 ripped clean down the side seam like it was made it tissue paper. Regular thickness mattress. Utter junk, avoid.
