Update for 11 months later
An update after 11 months of use. So as for build quality, the bag still holds strong, it's been thrown around, dropped, and rained on (I did scotch guard it), and the bag still works well, and I can see there being no issues going forward at this point. I did remove a star because it's just not perfect. The padding which is sufficient does not keep the bag and weight from resting on your lower back, so that needs to be upgraded or re-engineer the weight. The bag tends to fall forward on itself once loaded with tools even with the hard shell bottom. This seems to be a cause of the front half of the bag pulling the rest of it forward when fully unzipped and open. this is a small nitpick though. Also I believe this bag could use some molle on the front side for extra customization. Other than that it's a great bag and I would definitely recommend it.I took this into work to start getting my tools into and my layout setup, and my coworker who owns a similar Klein tools bag said, "That looks just like mine!"I've only had the bag for two days, and can so far say that this bag is well built. The bottom is thick and helps the bag stand up, the main storage compartment has multiple sized pockets and elastic straps for holding an assortment of tools. Even with my basic fluke voltage meter, proving unit, ratcheting cable cutters, and a plethora of hex bits, sockets and other tools there is still plenty of room. I use the smaller front compartment to hold my Milwaukee 12v impact and spare battery, and some extensions, and that still has plenty of room as well. Currently I am satisfied with the look and feel of the backpack, and will update on it's longevity after I have used it for awhile, but for now 5 stars it is. I've got no complaints.

It's Not perfect but it's close.
The Bag is well made and feels like it will last a long time. It's not perfect but it's better than the klein and others. My issues with this bag are...The small pocket in the front is basically useless, it will only hold a phone charger. The bag is heavy in general and with my 18 pounds of tools in there it will make your lower back hurt. The padding which is good should have been thicker on the bottom of the bag to keep the rubber bottom from resting on your back. The pockets in the back are too deep and the bag is too long. These are really my nitpicking. The zippers aren't as heavy duty as the kliens but the klein zippers fail after a whileI wish rugged would see this and design a backpack with 10-15 less pockets, also making the bag 3 inches wide, slightly smaller in height a soft rubber bottom, and thicker padding on the straps/back if the bag. I walk all day any nyc with my bag and in my industry (elevators) the technicians are hard pressed to find the perfect bag. Everyone I know who has this bag has the same issues as I listed above But overall for the price it's a good bag that will be dependable. If rugged combined what makes this bag great with a similar internal design to the DeWalt 23 pocket dgc530 then that would be the best bag on the market. The DeWalt has the best pocket layout of the 12 backpacks I've bought but it's cheap, the padding is bad and the zippers are terrible

the unknown, good deal, very heavy duty,, but has issues.
update againthey sent me a replacement but honestly had no interest in what i had to say at all.So the pockets are hard to use, i have foam in some because they are too deep. i can live with itThe zippers will probably never go bad. the bag is great. But if you need a pc it's not for you.it's heavy, that's okay and the bass is great, the front section should have been bigger. iYou need to think about how much weight you want to carry I had 30 pounds of tools and that was alotthe bag can handle it. the bag weighs 5 poundsI'm going to modify the bag some what, the side pockets are fine for water but i use them for toolsthe top zipper pouch is almost useless, cant even fit my phone.overall it's very heavy duty.update ,,, the front clip that hold the shoulder straps is cheap, and broken,,, waiting to see what they do ,,, it's way to cheap for this bagok this bag so far, it has 35 pounds of tools in it. a Milwaukee larger drill a charger and two batteries fit well on the solid bottom. pockets for hand tools are just fine, i'll go through some changes before i get it the way i want it. two relatively large tool kits, a few small tool kits, 3 allen key sets, large fluke large label printer, some zip lock bags filled with stuff, lots of hand tools , it's a very full bag.35 pounds doesn't sound like much and it feels heavier, i'll be taking this on a train working in nyc, it has everything in it that i will need and more. and it feels strong on my back and it's padded. I was using another back pack but it just couldn't handle it, one of the guys that does the same work uses the Milwaukee backpack , this was a better buy,, and from my pics i can still put more stuff,, my tablet phone lights charger, its good

Ok but things get lost
The bag quality is good but the design isnt that great. The back row of pockets on both sides are the length of the bag so screwdrivers go to far in and are hard to get out. And even smaller sized pliers get stuck. The ones they do fit in only fit the shaft so it falls out if the bag falls over. The zipper is also hard to close if opened all the way. I had a different version and loved it but went with this because it was a little bigger.Update: I decided to go back to the previous rugged bag I had and reached out to customer service and they were very responsive and worked with me to get the one I previously had. The bag is good quality the design just didn't work for me. I went from 3 stars to 4 because the customer service was excellent and honored their satisfaction guarantee.

RuggedBagYES!
Excellent tool bag I love it! The tough bottom allows the bag to stand up love how how can place things in the bottom of the bag like my drill and other tools. I fit a lot of tools in here and replaced my other tool bag with this backpack. I myself could have used just a little bit more space but then again you have to think how much is this gonna weigh on your back so not really that big of a deal. Biggest complaint is that the zippers seem like they may break quickly over time. The bag itself is excellent quality tough and feels like it could last for a while. For the price and quality this is an awesome bag and a better deal then most other bags on amazon that I noticed. Would I buy this again? YES I would!

Excellent tool bag.
I purchased this to carry my tools in the car. I do not use the backpack feature. Haven't had it long and will comment on durability later on. The nice thing about this bag is that you can fill all the slots with tools and it's designed to not bunch up against each other. There's plenty of room to hold a lot of items. The protective bottom is solid plastic with a little flexibility. If I set this bag down, it will not stay upright. I is probably due to the way I have the tools loaded up. If I could make a change, it would be to split the top carrying strap to include both sides of the bag, instead of one side. A nice feature is that this bag opens wide. You can also open it from one side to quickly reach in.

Saves your hands
Its rugged with a good price compared to the ones in the stores now. The bottom pad is strong and the handle as well. The material is good, they could make more room inside as I put my tool belt and impact driver inside and just use few of the holding pockets for tools. This one is heavier than the other light duty one, I mean the bag itself looks like it has already got some tools inside. If you frequent to construction sites buy this one.

Good size for overseas travel.
I received my Rugged tool back pack in 3 days and was able to bring it to Europe for a small job.It is a good size but, could use a another outside zipper pocket for storing tape measures, maybe electrical tape and odds and ends. Maybe instead of having 2 elastic water bottle holders turn one into an auxiliary stuff pocket.Comfortable to carry on your back with all tooling weighing about 16KG or 35lbs.
