I first read this book in late 60's/ early 70s Fascinating story and still has me gripped and in tears at times even after reading it so many times. This is my 4th copy as I've worn others out.

A brilliant gripping and enjoyable story in its own right.All the more amazing that you are learning about some of the events prior to the reformation of Israel in 1948; there will be the inevitable bits of poetic license with the story but I could not put it down!It was very interesting to read how parts of Europe and the U.K. were complicit in trying to prevent this happening.

Not finished yet but wow what a book - it's a story based on history - history that no one ever taught me in school.

Bought this on behalf of my mother in law, she was happy with it although said the writing is really tiny so I wouldn't recommend to anyone with sight problems.

Just finished reading.What a good read.Highly recommend.

Bought as a present and the quality of the book is excellent.

An heroic and great story from The beginning of The state of Israel

Arrived in a timely fashion and is in very good condition for a 30+ year old edition. The dust cover is also in first class condition but the presentation was spoiled by it having a large 4-inch square sticky residue on the front cover which really should have been cleaned before issue - it only took me a minute or so to do it.
