Both work perfect out of the Gate, I see people having issues with these and part of the problem is running cheap butane. I only use Newport or Xikar, there are some other higher end ones too but those two brands never give me any issues and will always fire up even the most stubborn lighters. If you use quality butane you should have no issue. To trouble shoot - Try turning it all the way down and just slowly opening the valve until you get the desired flame length. Too much gas it won't light, Too little gas it may light and sputter then go out. You need to have your gas set properly and quality butane.Does not throw enough heat for a concentrate torch to fire up quarts bangers etc, if that's what you are considering this for move on to something that can move more fuel and provide a bigger flame for a longer duration. I use mine for flower when using water pipes. It gives a very clean burn.I would buy a dozen of these at this price and just toss them as they start to not work so great anymore. Remember these are just cheap china torches.They work Great for cigars too!!! Cigar smokers def don't pass on these. The torch itself is about the size of a Churchill cigar, no joke.

This is the 4th type of butane torch lighters that I’ve purchased recently and I can honestly say that they are the best of the bunch. These torch lighters are awesome and very versatile. They are very easy to fill and the cylindrical design is convenient and discreet. It’s around the same size as a permanent market, so there’s no bulk to worry about. It also has a flame controller that pops out so it’s easy to turn up or down. I haven’t heard any leakage from either of the two torches included in the package. I’m glad I found these. I highly recommend them. You really can’t beat that price for the quality of product you get. Definitely worth it!

I absolutely love this lighter! Very durable, actually wish it was a bit lighter in weight and also would be nice if it had a grip to hold it. I love the fact that it is refillable (comes without butane). Also love that the flame height is adjustable.

Absolutely love these lighters. Easy to fill and adjust your flame height. Other features I should mention about these lighter are the clear, easy to see gas tank window. Easy to use with one hand. The ignition switch is easy to push and ignites on the first try every time I've used them so far. And the final thing I have to say about this light is the fact that you can turn the flame height all the way down to shut the gas off totally.

I really liked the “gas window” feature that allows you to monitor the gas level, along with the ability to adjust the flame. Great build quality. Pack of two. Easy to fill using the can of Zippo Butane that we already had on hand. Flame is adjustable. Will use for candles, lighting the grill, lighting the fire pit. The flame here is similar to the flame on the torch we use for crème brûlée, so it seems this could be used for that as well.

So far. I'm unsure how this will be a viable participant within my habitual dilithium usages. It's not stable enough during ignition torch misfires a lot with failed ignition. It's the disgusting sound of click click click click click. It does have a 18-month warranty with no return but why would you want another one if this one doesn't work 100% of the time I would even be acceptable at 80% but this one is a click click clicker. And to all those and looking for a butane torch you know what I'm talking about

I think these are SO cool, even when they create a lot of heat. I claimed the blue one and gave my husband the black one.These are good for lighting candles, incense sticks or cones and many other things. It is very easy to increase or decrease the flame, you must hold the switch on to keep the flame on, as soon as you let it go, it slowly goes down.
