Came for Great Coffee, Found a great Cause
We've been organic coffee drinkers for years. As we have gotten older, we've become more sensitive to acid. So about 6 months ago we went "hunting" across the internet to a coffee that was organic, low acid and ideally a light roast. After a few hours of Google searching we found our way to this coffee. We tried a small bag first, just to make sure we like it. Cutting to the chase scene; we've just ordered our 5th and 6th 5 lbs. bag this week. :) As we've researched the coffee and the Kreyol brand we discovered that its founder is really doing something awesome for the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He nad his group are bringing jobs and revenue to people that often times have been victimized by weather, circumstances and in the case of Haitians, dictatorships. There is actually a short documentary about the efforts of the founder and the Coffee Hunters Project on the web. A great quick watch (like 15 minutes long). If you're familiar with Kiva, this has a similar feel where your dollars are helping people in other, more challenging places, build businesses and generate an income. This is just an added bonus to a really great coffee.

Very, VERY moldy. So much so that I ended throwing half of the bag away.
It's a sad thing because the taste was good. The roast is more of a blond one, but I liked the taste.

Spectacular Coffee
I was introduced to the Haitian Blue varietal in the 90s. I have drank Kona, Blue Mountain, and Mexican Coatepec from Veracruz. Haitian Blue ranks extremely High. I love the butter and nut flavors. It's truly in a class of its own. Thanks for making this available. Please try to source the Mexican Coatepec coffee. They are as good as Kona and High Altitude Caribbean varieties.

Great Taste and Smooth
I read an article in Roast Magazine that Cafe Kreyol had won Roaster of the Year honors for 2023. I was glad to see that Amazon offered several options. I ordered this Organic Caribbean Blue and tried it the day after receiving it. Excellent! It was on par with my other favorite coffees from Kion, Little Waves, and others. It's well worth the price!

My favorite coffee
This is my absolute favorite coffee, a creamy rich flavor of butter almonds… it’s just so fantastic. They stopped carrying it at my local grocery store recently, so I’ve come to order 5 lbs. bags here. Thank you for keeping me well supplied.

Light roast delicious coffee
The beans are a very light color, smells good, tastes delicious. Second time ordering from Amazon and received very fast within 2-3 days of ordering. I usually mix it with the Sleepyhead decaf so that I have a half calf brew. I also fix it in my french press. Very good and will order again.

Delicious light roast
This is a great and very distinctive coffee. Very nice light roast really brings out the flavor of Haitian beans. And the coffee, in addition to being delicious and having a wonderful aroma, really packs a powerful kick. I ordered it from Amazon and the roast was pretty fresh. But, if you want a really fresher roast (roasted to order) you can order directly from their website. You can also buy coffee trees for Haiti there. A great cause.
