Great product, on the louder side when operating
Rating this five stars because I used to have a pump that didn't work, and now i have this one and it works great. One thing to consider is where this will be located: my unit is in my basement in a small, not sound proof room next to where guests sleep, and they can hear every time this is running (which is only for a few seconds). odds are that your unit is in a much more tucked away location, but i would have opted for a quieter model had i known when i purchased this.

Very Quiet and so fart so good. It's doing the job.
I have a GE window AC unit that sits on the window sill like a saddle and has in internal condensate pump to remove water to the outside. That pump, one day, began making an awful and loud noise because the suction line got plugged up. It's so bad it had me thinking the unit had failed and the compressor had failed or something. Turned out the suction line was plugged up or nearly so causing the pump to overwork and make a loud noise. After opening the unit up my son and I were unable to find and clear the obstruction. I wound up opening the drain cap on the side of the unit and put a five gallon bucket under it but this bucket fill up every two days and has to be emptied. I began looking for a solution and found this AquaStrong pump.I used garden hose fittings as you can see in the photo to adapt the pump to the AC unit. The pump itself is connected to the lower hose elbow with a 5/8" female hose repair fitting using about half of the gray tube piece that came with the pump. I still have the bucket under it just in case. The AquaStrong has it's own separate reservoir with a level switch in it to run the pump that you can see poking out below the AC unit. I used two right angle hose elbows and a female hose end repair to connect the pump. I haven't tidied up the wiring yet. Giving it a chance to prove itself right now. It's been operating about a week now. The pump is mounted to the side of the AC with a Velcro strip which came with the pump. The pump runs about once every five or six minutes. There is an auxiliary contact which can be used with an external contractor to kill power to the AC so that the tiny reservoir does not overflow. I still have my bucket there just in case. The right angle hose fittings will allow me to swing the mini reservoir back under the AC unit completely out of sight. The pump discharges the water to the outside through a 3/8" hole I drilled through the insulation board around the AC unit.As I said the pump is very quiet. The only time I really noticed it running was the first time because it had to self prime to clear the air out of the suction tube. After that I've only heard it very infrequently and it was all but inaudible.Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. I'll tidy up the wiring better after it has been in services for a while.

They last 3 years on average. great value and flexible installation
ive gone through two of these now, they last 2 to 3 years on average.the full condensation pan tripped my safety and shut off the system. i swapped this little guy in and it emptied the pan in an hour or so, the system came back to life

Horrible instructions, good product.
Instructions are very difficult, Misspelled words, bad grammar. Not a lot of information.Otherwise, once I figured it out, it works great very quiet. Can’t even hear it.I On a mini split, I installed in my trailer as I didn’t have a downward drain path. I cut the plug off and pulled power from the head unit inside.

Condensation forms inside of the housing and gets the electronics wet, causing the unit to fail
I purchased this product to use as a condensate pump for a mini split system. The mini split was installed on the wall opposite my garage, and I placed the pump on a shelf inside the garage. Initially, it worked fine from July through the winter. However, yesterday, a leak alarm alerted me to a problem. After cleaning the unit, it resumed working—briefly.Later that same day, I noticed it was running continuously again. When I opened the unit for a closer inspection, I discovered water inside the housing and significant corrosion on the electronics. The circuit board has no conformal coating or waterproof protection of any kind. Given that cold condensate runs through this unit, it naturally causes condensation to form inside the housing. Over time, this moisture damaged the electronics, rendering the pump completely inoperable after just nine months. This is a major design flaw. The electronics are not isolated from the pump area, which is unacceptable for a product meant to handle moisture. I’ll be replacing it with a full-size condensate pump that has proper isolation and protection for its internal components.Unless you’re installing this inside a fully controlled environment like within a refrigeration unit, I cannot recommend this product. It is poorly designed for typical mini split installations and is likely to fail prematurely.
