Far better than my original micro plane makes it so much quicker to zest fruit and chocolate. It’s sharp and the design is good just have to make sure you don’t add your flesh along with whatever your grating.

Best fine grater out there. I’ve had a couple of copies but they aren’t as sharp and don’t have blades on the edges, only the top. A small point, maybe, but makes a big difference when grating cheese, for example.

At first I balked at spending so much on a zester/grater but as it was a present for my daughter and the task is not her favourite part of baking/food prep, so after a bit if research I took the plunge. My decision was made a bit easier as it was on offer at a notable discount with Amazon. I have to say I don't regret it one bit, not least because she was delighted by the quality of the product and the fact it does a great job; the choice was also endorsed by the positive reaction of her partner who is a chef! There are obviously many cheaper options on the market and I'm sure some are very capable, but personally I am satisfied the Microplane is worth the investment, whether for personal use, or buying it as a gift.

This is a well made product which does its job very well too. Easy and comfortable to hold, it grates cheese, garlic and lemon zest equally well. It is necessary to assist some of the gratings to drop but I don't see that as a problem. Simply holding the grater under a running tap does most of the cleaning, with any residual bits easy to clear away with a cloth. Overall, a very good buy.

I saw a chef using this on You Tube. Works like a dream - I use it for grating cheese finely and for lemon zest. Muck easier to use than my old grater!

I pretty much never leave reviews... but this is a truly fantastic bit of kit!! I make carrot cake all the time for my B&B and this is a gamechanger. Brilliant!!!
