ARKTEK USB-C to Mini DP Adapter USB Type C (Thunderbolt 3 Compatible) to Mini DisplayPort 4K Cable Adapter (Only Support Mini DP to Mini DP/DP Cable)

I have both an Apple LED display and an older dual-link Apple Cinema display. The Cinema display has a dual-link DVI to mini display port adapter on it. I chained this adapter to the mini-DP adapter (Cinema Display -> mini DP adapter -> Arktek adapter) and it works really well for that purpose for the three days I have used it so far. But when I tried with the LED display (LED display -> Arktek adapter) it doesn't work. So the success of this product may depend on the display you use it with.

Update: the seller provided a replacement but it still does not provide very reliable connection. I changed the review to 4 stars because of their quick response.It works the first time I used it. However, sometimes it disconnects the monitor for no reason. If I move the adapter even just a bit, it also disconnects. Plus, the pins in the mini DP end of the adapter are not perfectly straight, which might be the cause. I would not recommend this product.

Unfortunately, the device didn't work for my apple display. But I gave 4 stars because ARKTEK has possibly the best customer service I have experienced with an amazon seller. I contacted them and told them of the issue, they were awesome at resolving the issues and working on bettering their product so it would be compatible with my devices.

Not working for what I wanted. I needed to connect a firewire sound card to usb c. Needed to go from firewire to thunderbolt cable (which I already had and worked) and then from thunderbolt to usb c with the Artek. I checked some videos and the problem seems to be with the Artek and should be solved by buying the orginal adapter from mac which is of course more expensive. It does work though to show video signal from mackbook to another screen.

Via USB-C to Mini DisplayPort, does not work for connecting new macbook pro to Apple thunderbolt display monitor, but does work to connect to other computer monitors, such as ones from Dell.

I really wanted this device to work. It looks sleek and is very portable. However, it won't transmit the signal from my MacBook Pro to the screen. The external display just reads "no signal."I was past the official Amazon return window, but ARKTEK graciously refunded the purchase anyway when I told them the problem.

I purchased this item incorrectly. I needed a Thunderbolt display port and this item is not that. I kept the item anyways because it works with all other Mini DP monitors.

I am using this adapter with Microsoft Surface Book 2 and it works great. Just as advertised. I have tried max resolution of 1920x1200, cannot comment on 4k.

This adapter works 27" Apple LED Cinema Display and Mac Mini M1, and the Intel Macbook, at full 2560 × 1440 resolution. Worth the buy.

It Didn’t work with intel MBP 2018 and cinema display. I had to buy the Apple one

These are getting hard to find. I have a old Apple monitor and it has the old Mini Dp plug.This adapter makes it easy to plug the monitor into my new apple MacBook Air.
