I recommend this fixture if this amount of light and/or dimensions are needed.
Purchased this 18W, 8.1 inches square, 3000 kelvin degrees (light color) LED on Oct. 2017. That was 16 months ago and still working with no trouble.I do not use this fixture for long periods of time because it’s in a hallway with not much traffic. It goes on for a few minutes (2 min.) about ten times a day. It turns on nicely with no flicks or noise, light output is evenly distributed. I installed the transformer (driver) inside a electrical metal junction box. It’s very bright, more than needed but I had no choice at the time because on that dimensions all were near 18 watts and that is over 1000 lumens. That is a lot of light.I didn’t want to use a dimmer device to simplify usage, just on and off. I needed to cover 8 x 8 inches opening and I wanted a flat LED. The flush ceiling mount could be better. It’s up to the user to install a junction box for the wiring to AC power and this step must be done for electrical safety and code reasons. The DC cable going to the LED fixture is part of the driver output and included.

A decent option if you have to have a large square retrofit.
I purchased 2 units to replace old can lights that had broken lenses. I was not able to use the attached spring clips as they did not secure the units into the existing square housing tight enough so they would slide out after a day. I was able to remove the clips from the old units and make them work with the new fixtures. The main issue is that both units shut off intermittently and at different times when the dimmer is set to full. I assume the thermal overload is engaging but neither of them seems hot on either side. I have 2 round LED retrofit units of a different brand on the same circuit that do not shut off. I am using a new dimmer switch made for LED's. They do look good and perform well otherwise.

These lights are really slick. Install is easy. The power requirements and thus the wires are really small. Wago connectors make this easy. I have been advised to make connections in a small box which is what I currently do however I have also been told that this is not really necessary. Just be careful when ordering to check for the Kelvin rating and also the size of the light. I might be wrong but the 8" 15W and 8" 18W lights do not appear to be the same size as I had assumed.

Great for converting old photos on a flat bed scanner.
I am using this for a non-standard purpose. I had several really old large negatives that would not fit in any standard film scanner. Instead I used a flat bed scanner and this light to hold them flat. Works perfectly and with a variable fan speed controller( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BLOSG7I/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) I can vary the light source perfectly. The light is evenly bright and would work well for any cell/wall purpose also.

Work perfectly
Simply awesome... low profile retrofit lighr.. super luminous....Just be careful if you are using for a job that may need code inspections... I can't remember if these are UL listed or CSA

A much better lighted area than with a single bulb in a holder

Good over sink light
Put 2 under a cabinet and they light up the sink great. Overall, happy. Not terribly strong so you'll need a couple for all but the smallest sink areas but it's a pretty good product.
