LiveFresh Over the Sink Micro-perforated Stainless Steel 4-Quart Colander with Non-Slip Handle Grips and Rubber Feet - Handles Extend to Fit Any Sink

I bought this as a colander that would fit into a standard kitchen sink and have used it for about two months now. It's worked well for washing vegetables and for draining pasta. The handles are sturdy, but the feet are not. They're two-pieces of plastic that snap together and one of the feet has already broken off with no way to repair it. The colander is still functional, since you can use the handles to prop it over the sink, but it won't sit evenly on the counter any more. Metal feet welded onto the bowl would have been a better choice!

This has really come in handy for me, especially when I'm going to a potluck, and need to make something with multiples of certain ingredients. For instance, I buy Trader Joe's cans of black beans, but need to wash off that unnecessary salt. So I can dump eight cans in that lengthy colander, and then use the spray device on my faucet to rinse off ALL the salt. Then I just leave the colander there for a few minutes, and all the salt and excess liquids (as well) drain out and down my sink drain. I'm using this amazing LifeFresh colander for more and more vegan items, and am immensely thrilled with its capabilities for me. Same thing with all the fresh fruits and veggies, which I initially spray with non-chemical surface toxin removers, and then rinse, rinse, rinse. Again, I'm so happy I decided to buy this!

I’ve purchased several Livefresh products and love them so much I purchased several for my step daughter as well. These products are very sturdy/strong and I can see where they will last for years. I love to strain pasta through them as the water is gone right now instead of have to pour slowly into a strainer that doesn’t release the water fast enough. Also fantastic to wash vegtables and let them drip over the sink. Hats off to the LiveFresh company that has made cooking and clean up so much easier. This is the easiest strainer to wash/clean as food particles don’t get caught like in the screen type strainers.

looked like a great idea. not practical in actual use. after you strain your pasta, you can't get it back into the pot without spilling a bunch and/or burning yourself on the pot. i tried dumping it from the narrow end and that was a disaster also. not sure how they intended for this to be used. maybe for washing fruit & veggies...but definitely don't buy this if you intend to strain hot pasta.

Well built, stainless steel, fits my sink and will stand up to a good scrubbing - unlike many of the screen mesh designs that bend and separate."AS described. The strainer works perfectly. I especially like the fine holes vs mesh. One issue is that it was not packed well by Amazon wiith other items and the basket was dented. I was able to push it out, but it still is not perfect. The dent was at one of the feet so we will see how it holds up.

I love it! I had an over the sink colander before and while it was ok it wasn’t very sturdy and was kind of expensive. This one is extremely sturdy and is worth its weight in gold! No more draining with the lid or finding a clear spot in the sink. The shipment came promptly and a the seller was very proactive in ensuring my satisfaction. A win/win for this household! Highly recommend this product!

This strainer works great. I love being able to use it directly over my sink especially with something heavy like potatoes or bulky like lettuce. My favorite perk with this strainer is being able to use the spray hose attachment on my sink. My fruits and vegetables are absolutely clean by the time they make it to my table.

This product is actually rather remarkable. It compacts very well and looks sleeker in person than in the photo. I've long had qualms with the way most colanders sit inside of germy sinks and this one is a cure all! It's also quite large so I don't struggle using it to rinse any reasonable amount of produce or pasta and of course the grips make pouring boiling water/food items much safer and simpler.Buy it, you'll be thrilled to bits at how much it simplifies prep and cooking.

This is wonderful for everything. I made some potato cakes for my grandchildren and this sieve, which I had just received came into it’s own with rinsing the shredded potatoes. I bought it to wash rice, but I will be doing all my veggies etc in future. I wish I had bought it sooner it is fab-u-lous👏!!

I bought this product for my partner who lives abroad meaning not in the UK where I purchased this product and she tells me she is delighted with the practicality and quality of this product especially when straining pasta and rice and washing salad vegetables. The movable side handles with non slip grip are an excellent feature since they can be placed on different size sinks. Highly recommend and top marks to Amazon for the fast delivery.

Love this! Definitely highly durable, easy to use and has saved me from future melt downs - as I purchased it after my last one collapsed into my sink with the dirty washing up!Love that it’s extendable, will fit any sink! Disappointed that it arrived with one of the black rubber feet missing. The remaining three rubber stands on it look loose and flimsy. It's a pity because the rest of the colonder is of a very good quality, including the handles.

Bought this for washing large amounts of veg thoroughly. It is ideal for that purpose, and whilst I still need to tilt it to fully drain the water despite the description, it’s so much easier and faster than your typical round large holed colander. Seems quite study and well made - time will tell.Quite large though - takes up most of my main bowl but then it would be great for washing salad for a family.

Took ages to be delivered and then when it did it smelt of moth balls even after a number of uses. It's not very well made, when you extend the handles it's quite stiff and it feels like it's going to break pretty soon.

A better quality product than previous versions I’ve bought. I’m very pleased with this and appreciate the rubber feet to prevent damage to the worktops.

I love this one. Easy to use and good quality

Nice quality, fits well over the sink, but I also use mine as a mini drainer on my granite sink drainer area and to put sharp knives for hand washing into the stainless steel sink which seems very prone to getting scratches.

It's great product but not good for washing rice

Absolutely one of the best things I've bought for my kitchen at any time, and one which will (almost) make peeling vegetables a pleasure! The quality is superb. This is not sieve-like mesh but perforated stainless steel. It looks likely to last for a very long time. Watch this space!
