From the Amazon page for the product - Do the glazes on these mugs contain ANY lead or other heavy metals? Answer:I sent an email to Bosmarlin to ask this question and find out if they have any mugs without Lead or Cadium in the glaze. Q: do these get too hot in the microwave? Some of my microwave safe mugs get too hot to touch after microwaving.

The mug gets hot but the handle stays cool. I bought three different kinds of coffee mugs. These turned out to be our favorites.

Q: What is the diameter of the top? I use an Aeropress and want to make sure it will fit/be safe to use. I bought a 21oz and it wasn't.

The inside diameter of the cup is about 3-3/8" and the outside diameter is about 3-3/4". Hope that helps.
