URSEND for iPhone 4 GSM LCD Touch Screen Display Digitizer Screen Replacement Assembly with Repair Tool (Black)

I am shocked that I was able to successfully replace my son’s iPhone screen. I wasn’t about to shell out several hundred dollars on a new phone just so he could watch cartoons, so I gave this a try.A few things to be aware of:- this is a pretty involved project. It won’t be as simple as disconnecting the old screen and putting a new one on. You have to be comfortable with disassembling the internal contents of the phone. You don’t have to be experienced at it, but just know this isn’t a ten minute project.- go to YouTube for how to videos, this comes with no instructions. I used a video by “that snazzy iPhone guy”. Following video instructions may be easier than written because there are so many steps.- plan on needing space to sort screws and parts. Your iPhone has a zillion little screws in there and yes, you will not only need to take them all out you will need to keep track of them because of course- each has a specific spot.- If you have a small jeweler’s screwdriver that makes this much easier.

It must've been a Friday afternoon, or someone was seriously hung over on a Monday morning over at URSEND... because their Quality Control Inspection really didn't care about letting this one go...Okay so... I was going thru my junk, because I knew I had an old iPhone laying around, that I wanted to use for workouts, and to simply use as an iPod... well, I knew it had a shattered screen -- so I ordered one from URSEND... I wasn't expecting the best - "you get what you pay for!", right? I mean, it wasn't gonna be my primary smartphone anyway... so why not!I received it in a timely manner, but when I opened it to start the replacement process, I noticed each corners of the display had internal checking [see pics].The first thing I thought was: 'oh well, must be frost from how cold it is here... BUT I'M IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!! HOW CAN THERE BE SNOW AT SEA LEVEL!?!?!?!?I'm still gonna replace the screen [since I've already disassembled the old one] and post pics of what this type of poor quality product would look like powered up -- just so you guys can learn from my poor, purchase decision...Be weary of URSEND... hopefully they'll see this review, and decides to send me a new screen... because that's the ONLY way get me to disassemble this display once more...Oh, and one other thing...Overall Rating? One Star for fast shipping --- minus 2 for poor quality control!You guys should really discipline your QC "manager."

I still have yet to use this but it looks like it will work well with my phone. I need to get my splinters our first.

The digitizer only worked 2 times on this new screen. I have verified that the cables were never bent and are routed correctly through the frame. The connectors and pins are seated and connected properly too as I have checked multiple times.I will update the review upon receiving a new working screen/digitizer.

I tried to change my screen but when I removed everything except one last part, no screwdriver fit s I couldn’t change the screen...Don’t buy it

The screen didn't line up properly... I wasted close to 2 hours trying to get it to fit and damaged my phone in the process because these guys didn't send the correct replacement. BUY FROM SOMEONE ELSE

Worked as advertised and the price was right.

Dead pixels immediately, and weird extra bright spots near the very top of the screen, I mean you get what you pay for but there’s not a lot of options
