My “go to”for beautiful,fresh& delicious chocolates. Everyone I have sent them too really likes them.

How I started this review:I’ve only just begun to eat my way through this exquisite box of assorted dark chocolates. The second piece I had was a lemon cream that itself was worth the price of the box! If only I could have an entire box of that one type! But each is good in its own way. I will hope for a second lemon cream as I progress through the collection.My better-informed Edit:I’m now two thirds of the way through the box, and have found nothing since that first lemon cream that has seemed at all exciting. The flavors lack intensity and specificity. I often am unable to tell what the flavor is intended to be,’other than sweet.Also, the coverings are excessively thick and stiff, obscuring the fillings, nothing like the hand dipped chocolates of old, but rather seeming to have been made in a mold.I will not be tempted to purchase Leonidas again, though I will eventually finish consuming this box, even though I take more enjoyment from my Lindor 70% balls.

This company, Leonidas, did everything right. The delivery was swift, the chocolates arrived still chilled, as the icepacks that were wrapped in plastic were still cool after traveling 2,300 miles. The chocolates themselves are among the most delicious I've ever eaten. My small town has a chocolatier, but they don't turn out product like this! Well worth the $$ spent I'd say!

I did eventually like this chocolate. However, I was initially disappointed in the lack of variety in the fillings. I was expecting a combination of chewy, crunchy, whipped lightness, creamy, etc., that you normally get in a chocolate assortment. Instead all the insides are basically the same with little variation in texture or consistency. The outside chocolate does taste top quality, however, and I found that if you hold it in your mouth for a little bit the overall experience improves dramatically. Bottom line: it's good but not great. For a few more dollars you can get Neuhaus chocolates, which are definitely superior.

Great taste, great selection. Can’t name another brand that is equal to Leonidas.
