I think it is an excellent coffee maker.I got tired of replacing my Keurig machines because some didn't even last a year, (I've been a Keurig owner for many years.) so I thought I would give this Gourmai a try.I am very pleased with the simplicity of the machine and the great taste.After my 4th Keurig machine bit the dust I wanted to try another brand to see if it would last longer. This Gourmia GCM3600 is a lower price and by far a better machine for making that single cup of coffee.When you turn it on it heats the water in about 15 seconds, The water is much hotter than my old machine and brews a great cup of coffee.I am impressed and glad I ordered it.

Nice looking and wonderful potential. Followed instructions to the letter. Turned on machine to run the first water through and the blue light came on for a second and I thought it would start. It seemed to start but then it quit and never finished. No water came out. The back of the coffee maker had a slight warmth to it, but that faded and the thing never again showed any signs of life. I tried two more times with the same results except the blue light never again appeared. It's on the way back to Amazon or China??

The only thing I didn't like about this machine is that when it cleans it says that the reservoir is supposed to completely empty out and shut off, however it shuts off before it is completely empty so we have to lift the machine and tip the rest of the water out. This happens even when we make a cup. We have to fill it to the MAX line just to get a normal cup. So it's ok, not the greatest. This is the machine my cousin will be taking with her to college, in which was a gift for me. I already tested it out, so that I know it will not cause a fire, and that she can get the cup she needs to get her day started. I did get the protection plan, because if anything goes wrong they will replace it. I am not sure if the issue with the reservoir is supposed to be there, but we will see how it goes. I am glad there is an automatic shut off, just in case she forgets to get her cup or shut it down. I do like the three permanent cups for tea, k-cups, and then the scoop if she doesn't have the k- cups. I showed her how to use it and all you have to do is make sure the covers are on when you close it or it will not work. We tried all different ways, just to see if something would go wrong. Where she is going to use it heavily daily, I wanted to make sure it was durable and safe. This is the first time I have purchased this kind of machine. I have personally gone with hamilton and have had do problems, but mine is for a 12 cup and a k- cup, because that is what I wanted, however she just wanted a single cup maker. I am hoping this will last her the 4 years, I do know if I have any problems, I will be using that protection plan I purchased to fix the problems. If anyone else has had this issue with the reservoir I would like to know about it. Thank you all for reading my review, and I hope it helps. Also, it is hard to get replacement parts if something happens to the reusable k-cups.

The Gourmia GCM3600 arrived today and works great! I read a number of reviews before purchase and found that many of the negative reviews are user error. The coffee make dispenses 8 ounce cups on the first run, if a larger serving size is desired, simply press the button again and it will use the remaining water in the reservoir. Makes a great cup of coffee and tea. Simple to use. Only time will tell on durability, but I'm very satisfied with my selection.

I would have gave it more stars because I was thrilled at the idea of the interchangeable pod baskets. I gave it two stars because it arrived fine and worked for about 15 seconds before it died. I promptly returned it.I bought this again from Bed Bath & Beyond. It arrived fine. Made a great cup of coffee. Like other reviews, it left a good amount of water in the reservoir and wouldn't make more until more was added. This is the only issue with the Gourmia 3-1.One important thing to note is that the machine WILL NOT pump water if there is no pod in the pod holder. There are two buttons on either side where the water dispenses that releases the water from in the tube inside the reservoir.Update: At work in the morning and my coffee has a slight plastic taste. I actually bought a french press after I returned my first coffee maker and it tasted alot better.

An interesting product. Attractive, versatile and easy. Takes your coffee or pods and easy to clean. The water allowed for cup size is inadequate, but this machine will continue to add water if you hit the button again AND will stop any time your desired cup size is reached by hitting the same button again. It does leave a little water in the machine when it technically runs out so I fill it higher than the line. The only problem I’ve had is that the tea button doesn’t brew as hot as the coffee button, so i use the coffee button for both. I like it!

Very upset that this product did not work. Plugged it in, followed instructions for initial use, pushed button, light came on for a moment and then shut off forever. Did not even get to try it once.This was a highly anticipated Christmas present, and I'm appalled this company would ship a defective product like this a day before Christmas. DO NOT BUY. This is a defective product, and the problem needs to be resolved or this product needs to be taken off Amazon.Already had purchased 2 packs of K cups to go along with this, which now I can't use.
