These pedals are fantastic in all aspects, and not just because of their low price (although this is certainly a significant bonus). They are clearly well-built from quality materials, and have a very sturdy feel despite being lightweight. The pedals are slightly larger than average, which provides added stability and comfort. They have great spin, which is smooth with no clicks or catches. They were extremely easy to install and come with a hex key (allen wrench) for easy tightening. The pedals are also, for lack of a better word, sexy--I ordered the yellow set (more orange/gold than yellow), and they have a smooth and sleek sheen to them. They immediately standout without being gaudy, and are the perfect compliment to my blue frame.One of the best features are the pegs / studs--they provide a significant amount of grip, to the point that your shoes feel almost as sturdy as clip-ins. Many other pedals in this price range claim to have pegs, but they are really just small raised points on the pedal--these are real pegs, and are small screws that stand significantly higher than the pedal. The pegs are also are removable to allow for customization of both the length and number, as well as replacement (they come with four replacement pegs).I will provide a disclaimer that I have only used these pedals for one ride, but it was approximately 25 miles. My final determination is that these pedals are absolutely in a category of their own when it comes to this price range, and are better / nicer than another pair I have owned that were twice the price. I almost never write Amazon reviews, despite purchasing hundreds of items over the years; however, I was so impressed by these pedals that halfway through my ride I couldn't wait get home and leave this review.

Agreed.This is shiny gold orange color with blue cylinder.Its quality is perfect! Added photo, no defective spot. Its spinning fast!Some review said it is not flat and I don't agree. Side pic is uploaded and its edge has some round end which keeps foot in pedal. I have wide foot and size is perfect!Its weight is 165 per each, 330g for pair. Not bad at all! I put these on an ebike that goes fast and there was just something about the factory pedals that didn't make me feel secure in operating the ebike. These are like god-tier in terms of build quality and most importantly GRIP! Those little screws that poke out make all the difference. I've ridden bikes before of all shapes and sizes, (plastic and metal pedals) but there was just something I can't put into words about operating my particular e-bike with default factory pedals. Small chance it was my sneakers maybe I was wearing crocks, slippery weather, I don't really know.But all that is solved by these stylish high quality very grippy pedals. And the screws don't come out far enough to even be noticed, like they aren't going to poke your feet in the slightest but they offer crucial grip in high-speed situations. I think it's like, the bike goes fast and stops fast, great breaks, but I felt like my feet were sliding around at times, not with these. If you are having any sort of grip problems, I highly recommend these. Installation took idk 2 minutes per pedal.I'd say buy it just for looks, but if you know, you know, if you're feeling funny about your pedals and the grip they offer at any time, that's just not safe. Doesn't have to be these, but if you're looking for pedals its likely something that's a 'need' rather than a 'want.' Have fun and ride safe my friends.

They have really good grip on your feet.

Looks and feels great they are so sweet!

However, the little spikes they put in tore me up they should put them in a little bag and you could put them in as desired would have been a lot easier on me.

I bought these for a new mountain bike I purchased. I normal like to clip in as I am used to riding road bikes. So I was looking for generally cheap platform pedals simply as there were too many differences between road geometry and mountain bike geometry to commit to clip-in pedals.Cheap, but wow these have done far better than I expected. I have bashed these on rocks, I have rubbed these on various obstacles, and overall couldn't be more pleased. I have decided to simply keep these and not clip-in. Mountain bike riding is very different that road riding.

Much better than what came on the bike. I wear hiking boots while riding and have never felt my boot slip on the pedal.

The ball bearings on my old pedals were failing, grinding really bad. I never really liked them, they were narrow and slippery. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to go with these. I could not be happier. They are wide and very non-slip. I get great traction, and when I’ve had to cycle home in rainy weather, I felt very safe. They are light and stylish, and appear well-made.

when I'm riding in the rain, on challenging terrain, even with mountain biking shoes my feet sometimes slip
