Nice Kitchen Vent
This is a replacement vent for one that was 20 years old. This vent is powerful and wonderful! It is very heavy and required 2 strong men to install. We are so glad we purchased this vent for above our gas cooktop.

Matches Bullnose on my WOLF Range
The media could not be loaded. The Buttons are sturdy, LED lighting is bright. Fan control removes smoke quickly.Good design, compliments my kitchen nicely. I used the round flange. Two person job. I used my existing electrical cord, hot, cold, & ground. Well priced, I’ve paid more at my local retailer in the past.

Nice, powerful hood
This was a hood replacement. I installed it myself using a modified/padded car jack-based system to safely lift/position the hood into position for accurately securing it to the cabinet. It makes a hard job easy. Installation took about an hour. There are four wood screws provided in the kit to screw the hood into the two prescribed 4”-wide mounting boards I installed under the recessed base cabinet. I decided to replace the provided screws with higher quality screws. All four screws snugged the left and right sides of the vent hood tightly to the base of the cabinet. Like other reviewers, I noticed a slight sag in the middle of the hood, perhaps a millimeter. I ended up drilling a small hole in the middle of the hood under the cabinet face and sunk a screw through the hood into the cabinet - pulling up the sag, making it perfect. I would strongly recommend Kobe to add an optional punch out for a middle screw, Aligning just under the 12” cabinet face, maybe 11.5” from the back. The hood looks and runs great, lighting via LED lights is just right. I would definitely buy it again!

Buy a different range hood!
The lights didn't work so we had to send it back! So ridiculous to buy a brand new range hood and the lights don't work... save your time and money and buy a different brand.

"Real" suction is weaker than it is. Over marketing the benefit of the baffle design.
Generally, I think the stainless steel "material" is good quality. The thickness is that it stated, and it does not seem to have any rust on it. In actual practical use, I believe it ends there. I am an architect and a GC, I understand both design and implementation process. And I am more concern in the practical use then look. I did consider other brands. But I was attracted to the design both baffle filter , round edges, decent CFM and side (the "thickness") .. Although I don't absolutely regret the purchase, I probably won't buy it again.1.) Suction - In my experience, I have tried other brands such as PacAir, San Yang Pai , Nutune, Wolf, KitchenAid, Viking and Bosch ... etc. We connected and tested it before installation. The air the comes out from the top of the 6" hole is definitely very strong . It is like a fan blowing directly to your face, papers and other other stuffs just blow away. Unfortunately, it does not translate the same suction from the "bottom". Without the baffle, the suction can barely hold only to a 8.5" x 11" paper. After putting on the baffle, you can forget about it. Its actual suction performance, I feel that it is only marginally better than a Nutone 200CFM range hood.I think it is a design issue. Mainly the fans are sitting flat, not spitted into 2 sides evenly. Both fans are sitting "vertically" at the center, and drew the air . If any engineer can share some comments about its suction design, I would appreciate it.2.) Installation - It is not so simple. This is a 2 person job for sure. The issues are the following: 1.) it relays on 4 wood-mount screws to mount on "top" of the range hood. The pre-drill holes are small, and 2 of them are in a tight spot. 2.) For those who do home improvement or pay attention to kitchen cabinets, the bottom of each cabinet is usually "recessed" in. it is not flat. It is because there are 4 frames on each side. So, per instruction, we should cut ourselves a piece of wood to fill in that hallow space before installation. >_< In reality, they should offer option to drill/screw from the sides too. 3.) The range hood is quite heavy, thanks to the motor. We are skeptical if the skinny screws can actually hold it up. 4.) The vent hole is only 6". Many of the house actually have 7" or 8" duct. They should offer a more easy adapter to convert from 6" to 7 or 8" .. So, it does not come with actually outlet plug. It guess have the wire out. It expects you to either hotwire it or buy the plug yourself.3.) Cleaning - under the hood, it is immediately the mechanic parts of the system. If you look carefully, you can see the wires. There is no design that "enclose the air and funnel the air to the motor. The inside, there is not much difference between a cheap $150 Nutone range hood. It means that if you want to clean the inside, this may not be the best design. The baffle can be taken out and clean. However, the baffles filter cannot disassemble to clean the inside channel yourself. If you are clean freak, and care about cleaning every inch, you just have to soak the baffle filter in soap every often. Addition insult to injury, the motor fan cannot be taken out to clean!4.) Customer support - I called in for support about duct adapter and other installation issue. No help. I saw that there should be other vent 6 to 7" adapter from a different model that they have. I asked they that can sell it to me. They said they will call me back, and never did. I had other support issues, the phone was nice, but tech support never calls back. I just hope that their warranty will be honor if I need it.

Easy install, except for vent duct, just needed extra hand
Simple and easy install. Just secure vent duct or have extras hand to hold it in place. Fits great, LED lights are bright and love the loudness, know it’s working!!

Works great, great value
Installed this in a retro-fit situation - my kitchen came with a non-functioning range hood with a 6" round vent and I purchased this to replace it. I got very lucky that this hood lined up with the old venting. Love the baffle style filters and the mechanical buttons. The hood does a great job pulling away cooking steam and smoke. We ended up not installing filler strips (even though the underside of our cabinet is recessed) and due to the way the hood tapers, it installed flush at the underside of the cabinet. With a to-flush set of strips there was a small gap at the front of the cabinet between it and the hood.Agree with other reviewers that the positioning of the lights is less than ideal, and doesn't light up the back side of the cooktop very well, but it's better than what I had before (which was nothing)!

Sweet rangehood
Great Range hood, runs quiet when needed and sucks the air out of your house when you've burned something on the stove!
