Work perfectly, even on a vertical run.

Clips are holding an outdoor rated cat6 cable, 24 gauge. Easy to snap in and easy to remove. Was hoping they'd hold well running vertical as well and they did.

Perfect!

Backstory:I rewired my internet line from my outside NID box to my inside phone jack because I was getting errors on my DSL line and it had been a few years since it was last done. My original wire was routed through the inside of my house, through the walls, across ceilings, and all over the place. In an effort to fix some signal issues, keep the wiring distance low, as well as ease of rewiring, the internet company rewired a direct line routed along the outside of my house coming in directly behind the jack. The line fixed the issues I was having with signal at the time, but I was again having some issues after a few years. Since it was directly exposed to the elements, I figured it was time to do a replacement. They used some type of weird clip to hold the wire to the bottom of the vinyl siding but it didn't do a great job.Actual Review lol:I was rewiring with cat6 direct burial UV resistant cable. It is very firm cable, but I did get it to fit into these clips. I didn't have a single one break either. I found that for my case, I had to bend them open a little and then push them onto the cable and then push the clip into the siding. You have to push the clip into the siding at an angle with upward force. Once I got the hang of it the job was quick and easy. I was planning on spacing them out a little more than I did, but the wire drooped a little which I didn't want so I just added a few more. This was a great deal for the amount you get. I think if I was using cat5e cable or even regular cat6 (not direct burial rated) it would have slipped right into the connector perfect. the cat6 cable I used did fit, but it was difficult and I was worried about the protective cable jacket being punctured which would have ruined the whole replacement cable. Literally just pulling them apart a little before snapping them onto the cable completely fixed this issue so don't worry. Great investment if you are running cable along vinyl siding!

Easy to use clips

Used the clips to route the cable around the outside of my house. The clips attached easily to the house vinyl siding. There were enough clips included to perform any reasonable install.

They work well once in place, but a bear to install.

They work well once in place, but that being said, they are a bear to install. If I were stronger and had a working man's hands, I maybe could have installed them easier. As it is, I am a woman, and I needed to use a small flathead screwdriver to push under the siding, then turn it sideways to open up a space to push the hanger in place. I'm glad I only needed a few, cause I would not have been able to do more. Anyway, once in place they are secure and hold the wire easily.
