Leap Year Sesame Street Dough Activity Backpack

I ordered it to get the play doh set featured in a favorite kids’ video. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the backpack!

This is a cute little set. It comes with a toddler sized backpack, 4 containers of dough, a few accessories, and activity cards. It's not listed on this page, but ours came with a coloring/activity book(with a page of stickers), too. It's not super high quality by any means, but it's still nice. I like that the bag is reusable, so it can be used to store the included supplies or for other uses, too. It also makes it nice for carrying on the go activities, like coloring books and stickers. (I don't usually pack up dough for on the go.) Overall, I like it. I think it's great as a gift, too, and is especially fun for any little Sesame Street fans.

Packaging was cute, but the plastic display didn't hold all of the pieces in place so everything was a mess at the bottom of the backpack. Toddler was excited to play with this nonetheless. Upon opening everything, the blue dough was solid and looked to be molding? Had to take it away and throw it out which was very disappointing for both me and my kid.

Like every other preschooler, my daughter loves play-doh and Sesame Street. I've been looking for a good all-in-one option that includes storage which is why I picked this. In truth, this set is actually pretty minimal because you get four containers of play-doh (I know it's not the brand name but it functions the same), four stamps, and a press with two molds. So, it's great as an add-on but might be a little lacking if this is the first play-doh style kit you get a child.But the winner for me is the backpack because it's an easy storage solution for not just this set, but the other play-doh containers and cookie cutter sets I got my daughter for Christmas. It easily holds all of the presses, cutters, and toys. And I like that it's see through so you can easily find specific items.

The media could not be loaded.  My son is 2.5 and loves Play-Doh and Sesame Street. I was excited to see it included some basic accessories and tools that reminded me of my childhood sets. I really love the little backpack it comes in! He can store all of his other dough accessories, tools, and containers in there. It can also be used as an actual backpack!I was pleasantly surprised to see that the dough is made really well and feels exactly like brand name Play-Doh. The only difference is that it leaves your fingers somewhat greasy and shiny. No staining. The accessories are adorable but a little cheap. The character stamps are really thin and flimsy, and hard to use without having the dough get stuck inside it (my toddler gets so frustrated when he can’t get it out and see the face he made). The little squisher doesn’t do a whole lot, but it’s easy for his tiny hands to squeeze it. Unfortunately that comes apart really easily and frustrates him. The two little ruler stamps are perfect for his tiny hands, and have lots of different shapes and objects that he recognizes. So far those are his favorite tools!I wish the accessories were made a little nicer, especially with the Sesame Street brand tied to it. I still highly recommend it, especially if your little one loves being creative or is a Sesame Street fan. This is a fantastic way to encourage imaginary play, while improving fine motor skills.
