LED 40 Watt 4' Linear Wrap - Strip Fixture 5000K (Daylight), Garage Shop Light, Flush Ceiling Mount Commercial Lighting Fluorescent Replacement

This is a fantastic light. It's rated to last for 50,000 hours, which means if I use it 5 hrs. a day it will last for 27.4 years. It will fall to someone else to replace it. I placed it over my kitchen sink which also illuminates my principal work space for food preparation. I had previously installed a fluorescent twin 4 ft fixture which was okay, but not nearly as bright and used more electricity. In addition, I had to replace the ballast and when both bulbs burned out simultaneously I figured it was time to go with LED's. The metal housing is quite sturdy (unlike many other LED fixtures) and the brightness is really amazing. The only thing some people may object to is that the light is very white and therefore cold. Installed in my kitchen it does not present a problem, but if you were to use it in a space where casual living or relaxing is generally done, it would be rather cold and sterile. A warmer light would be more appropriate.

Arrived at my door and I installed it in 30 minutes. It replaced a 2 lamp fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen. I even mounted the new fixture in the older one...looks great. I was using a super ballast and bright tubes and had a very bright kitchen. Now it's even brighter! When assembling, I added reflective tape parallel to the LED strip for added output. Looks great and love the daylight brightness. BTW, I had no issues like some of the other reviewers had. The power supply is all metal with NO plastic flanges. Comes with fast disconnects and safety cables so you can easily drop the panel in case you may need to replace power supply. The light comes on instantly with no delay whatsoever.

Very impressive light output. I replaced a ceiling fluorescent fixture in the garage above a work bench. The ceiling is ten feet high. I was pretty sure I would need a separate work light for the work bench area. But the light is adequate for illuminating a garage bay and the work bench. The color of the light is more like daylight, much superior to the fluorescent for fix it projects and for working on a vehicle. I found the installation to be quick and easy, and was pleased to find quick connects included. The light has a delay in coming on of maybe one second. That is a small matter given the advantages of this product.

These lights are very bright and built fairly well. I like that the lamp unit has hooks that connect it to the base so it can hang freely while you attach the wiring. At $50 each they are worth the price. I bought 10 of these lights in Oct 2017 for a garage I was building. Because of construction delays I did not install the lights until Feb 9, 2018. I only used 9 of them. One of them only lit up half way. I replaced it with the one I did not use and it works. With a 10% failure rate I can only say they are Okay. I would like to know how I can return the one that did not work. I see US Green Lighting does not stock them any longer. If they ever start selling them again make sure you install them before the return date window closes.

I have a manufactured home that had old recessed florescent lights in the ceiling of the kitchen with those plastic covers under them to diffuse the light from the super ugly toxic bulbs.When two of the 4 bulbs burned out, I bought two of these fixtures and was able to install them easily by myself. (It took longer to get the old ones out than to put these in.) Wiring was all easy.The light is BRIGHT, which is exactly what I wanted on my kitchen, temperature is WHITE, so you can see allllll the crumbs, drips and anything that's not clean, LOLThey run cool and quiet, and I didn't put those plastic covers back in the frame of the recessed spaces because I thought they also looked attractive without them.They are durable as well, the strips of lights go the whole length and the cover is thick. I could see these in a garage easily when you need great light.UPDATE: I haven't had these installed for a full year and one has crapped out. My electricial checked everything and said it was the fixture. Since I installed two identical, I will likely just buy it again, but kinds bummed that an LED fixture didn't last.

I originally bought three of these for our garage. I thought it was too utilitarian looking to go in our laundry room because it looked more like a shop light in the online pictures. However, once the light is installed, it looks great in the house for a closet or utility room. The light it puts out instantly is fantastic! So I bought another one for the utility room. For the first time, I can actually SEE in my laundry room. No more fluorescent lights! I've ripped them all out and replaced them with these LEDs.I did have to cut off a clip/plug that is on the end of the hot and neutral wires. Not a big deal. Cut it off, strip the wires, and you're ready to go. The hardest part of the install is getting the fixture straight on the ceiling.

Installed three of these about a year ago and one of them wont turn on (gives me a brief flicker when turned on and then nothing). It was good while it lasted, but now, I have no idea how to contact for warranty support 5-yr warranty is no good if I can't contact them.Also while I ordered three of these and another three for my garage, I think I found three different models, connectors, wiring, etc. They all worked, some were easier to install than others but point is that they were different. So, any review you get may or may not correspond to the product that is shipped to you,

We replaced fluorescent fixtures with these in our office - we have four of them illuminating a large room. Other reviews have docked points for the two-to-three second delay between flipping the switch and the LEDs coming on. Patience is a virtue - there was always a delay with the other fixture and these don't buzz. They were easy to install, to. The only warning is beware: these are BRIGHT. If you test them before putting the diffuse covers on, don't look at the lit LEDs directly. The fixtures these replaced had to be supplemented by ceiling lights - no need for that now!
