Ipevo WS-01 Wireless Station for iPad and P2V or Ziggi USB Document Cameras (CSAW-02IP)

1st Impression is that this is a good product and a very useful complement to the P2V camera. I had no problem connecting to its SSID. Was able to easily put it into "Bridge" mode so as to also connect to and have access to the internet. There seems to be little to no lag in connecting via WiFi. I set this up in my home for the first test and the range was good. Waiting to see results in actual use and may report back (if I remember to....)The included user guide is basic, not delving deeply into the feature and settings. That said, spending a few minutes with the user interface satisfied most of my questions about the capabilities. This unit has a SD card slot. The guide suggest that I may be able to record video from the P2V using a memory card. I'll check that out in a day or two....However, I am cautiously optimistic that this will be a good solution to eliminate wire clutter when we demonstrate quilting techniques in a classroom setting.

The product itself works fine, but it was missing an important piece. The seller mentioned that the original packaging was not included, but did not mention that anything else would be missing. The charger for the wireless station was not included. I am disappointed by this lack of information; had I known this, I would not have purchased the product.

It works as advertised.A neat undocumented feature is that it has a webdav server, which one can use with a program like Documents by Readdle (free) or Goodreader on the iPad to use the WS-01 as a wireless disk (an SD card must be inserted and one should not be logged in through presenter or a browser). One can the download and upload ANY file. The default webdav address is "http://10.10.10.1/dav/c". The files transfer very fast. Other wireless disks available are far more expensive.

No where did I read anywhere prior to purchase that it will not work with Surface RT or that an Apple account with credit card would be needed to download Whiteboard so that it works. There isn't a version of the support software to support Windows RT. IPEVO is not available except through emails to contact for questions or help.

I've used it for live camera feed over Webx of a person (10-15 feet), a demonstration of a device close up and documents - it consistently works well.

Does not connect right away. It take several minutes to work if at all. I follow the directions on the screen with no luck. It has never worked right away the first time.

Love it! I can do so much more in my classroom because I can show the kids exactly what they need to see.

i dont know how this is becauss im getting it for Christmas but will it work with ipod instead of ipad

Prinzipiell funktioniert die "Wireless Station" ganz gut, leider läuft sie bei mir mit einer Akkuladung nur ca. 1-2 Stunden an einer Ziggy HD vom selben Hersteller und währenddessen muss man regelmäßig (ca. alle 20 Minuten) die Verbindung zum durch die WS-01 angebotenen Accesspoint wieder herstellen, da die Verbindung abgebrochen ist und das Bild dann einfriert.Gute Idee, aber Umsetzung noch nicht ausgereift.Nachtrag: IVEPO hat sich weniger als 24 Stunden nach meiner Rezension gemeldet und mir eine Reperatur angeboten (siehe Kommentar). Alleine schon für diese schnelle und freundliche Reaktion gebe ich einen Punkt mehr.

Habe das Gerät vor einigen Monaten gekauft.Geplanter Einsatzzweck: Gerät soll Aufnahmen vom Visualizer kabellos auf Ipad übertragen und gleichzeitig über Apple-TV auf einen Beamer bringen.Das funktioniert problemlos, wenn man am Ipad und Apple-TV das richtige Ipevo-Netzwerk eingestellt hat.Die Übertragungsqualität ist absolut in Ordnung und mit mit der entsprechenden Ipevo-App kann man wunderbar am Ipad malen und zeigen worauf es ankommt. Die Zuschauer sehen alles perfekt.Und Strippen quer durch den Raum gehören künftig der Vergangenheit an.Sogar Filme in mittlerer Qualität lassen sich über die Wireless Station vom Ipad auf Apple-TV bringen.Einziger Wermutstropfen: Der Akku der Wireless Station scheint sich selbständig zu entleeren. Wenn man ihn einige Tage nicht benutzt hat, muss man vorher nachladen. (Ob das ein Systemfehler ist, weiß ich nicht. Es könnte sein, dass das Problem nur bei meinem Gerät besteht und es unerwartet Strom saugt. - Hier sollte Ipevo vielleicht noch Verbesserungen überlegen.)Die Akkulaufzeit bei der Präsentation liegt zwischen 2 und 3 Stunden - was für mich absolut o.k. ist. (Bei längerer Präsentationszeit nutze ich das Ladegerät.)

Die Wireless Station ist die beste Erweiterung für alle die direkt vom iPad auf die Ziggi/Ziggi-HD zugreifen wollen.Mit etwas probieren lies sich die WS-01 auch in vorhandene Netze einbinden, dann ist es noch praktischer.Ich würde nicht mehr darauf verzichten wollen, denn das ganze Kabel Gefummel ist Geschichte undneinen Rechner (PC/Mac) braucht es auch nicht mehr.

Habe das Gerät vor ca. einem Jahr gekauft. Von Anfang an gab es Schwierigkeiten: trotz ständig vorhandener Stromversorgung und Platzierung direkt neben dem Empfängergerät (ipad) friert das Bild nach einigen Stunden Unterrichtseinsatz ein. Dann hilft nur noch Ausschalten und neu starten. Ist während des Unterrichts natürlich lästig und ärgerlich.Daher schließe ich mich im Urteil eines Vorreferenten an: (verbesserungbe-)dürftige Qualität. Ebenso dürftig ist der Service. Es kam nur eine freundliche Rückmeldung, dass man sich um das Problem kümmert. Dann: nichts!
