How To Replace Tissues 101
After recently switching to a bidet + washclothes, I am befuzzled at why the last couple of generations have decided that disposable products are the way of the future. Oh well - life is full of oddities. Hopefully this review is beneficial for others considering joining the hanky community or existing members looking to resupply their hanky arsenal.Recently, I purchased the following 4 decently rated hankies from Amazon.- Dockers Men's 13 Piece Permanent Press Hankies, White, One Size- Van Heusen 13 Pack Cotton Handkerchiefs Solid White- Dockers Men's 6 Piece Hankie Fashion Pack, Asstorted, One Size- The Organic Handkerchiefs Company Set of Medium Organic Flannel Hankies, NaturalFellow Amazoner, here is the order in which I would recommend them to you (and why).1) Docker's Perm Press (65% poly + 35% cotton, 16x16") - absorbency: 15mm - gets a loose thread once awhile + relatively inexpensive ($1 per hanky) + iron-free and dryer safe (though I personally hang-dry everything)2) Organic (100% "organic flannel" cotton, 11x11") - expensive ($6 per hanky, ouch) - a bit small for folding purposes (11x11") - a bit harder to use while performing a nasal excavation (for you fellow miners) + absorbency: 6mm + very fluffy and is appropriately substantial + iron-free and dryer safe3) Docker's Fashion Handkie (100% cotton, 16x16") - absorbency: 10mm - needs ironing if you want it to look unused + iron-free + no loose threads + "fashion", adorable advertising scheme4) Van (100% cotton, 13x13") - absorbency: 14mm - frequently gets loose threads - requires ironing in order to not be useless - thinnest hanky among these 4 + "van 100% cotton", adorable brand bias+ all of them fit discretely into your pocket when folded properly.*Absorbency is a measurement of the diameter of the circle produced by dropping 1/4 a tsp of tap water onto the center of an unfolded hankie placed on a flat surface. I know a bucket of water would be more realistic for most of us, but this test is easier to reproduce. While Organic's hankies are probably better, I'm personally satisfied with Dockers. Dockers have a closer consistency to those evil facial tissues.Summary:- choose Dockers and/or Organic- every brand has their own abbreviation for the word "handkerchief"- don't always trust the majority (i.e. Van are the most popular hankies on Amazon)- this is what a poorly structured review looks like

Nice weave and good weight for a hankie
There's an old joke in our family -- "The rich keep it and the poor throw it away." My husband came into our marriage using handkerchiefs instead of kleenex. It took a little getting used to at first. My family never bought kleenex but used toilet paper for the same purpose. Then I found out that cotton and linen handkerchiefs are so much softer to blow your nose on.They are not unsanitary. Washed in hot water and soap and then ironed, they are clean and sterilized after every use. Further, they are not only for blowing your nose. They are perfect for cleaning your eye glasses, wiping the windshield on a rainy morning, drying hands, mopping sweat off the brow, and bandaging a cut. If you have a headache, put a drop of lavender or peppermint essential oil in a handkerchief and hold it to your nose -- almost instand relief. Use them to wipe a baby's face or to catch the drips of an icecream cone. And using cloth hankies saves money over buying boxes and boxes of tissue. In a perfect world I'd choose linen handkerchiefs over cotton, but the price of linen handkerchiefs today has put it out of the equation. These hankies were my second choice -- durable, reasonably priced, and exactly what I was expecting. The border weave is very classy. And I like these better than the plain hemmed hankies. They will last a few years. Once they get thread bare I'll turn them into dust cloths.

Permanent Press
Permanent Press is hard to find. These do the job very well. They wash well, are bright white, and stay flat, not rumpled like the cotton ones on Amazon.

Nice hankies
These handkerchiefs are pretty well made. A few loose threads but overall my husband is pleased with them. I would say that the workmanship is very good. It’s very difficult to find cotton handkerchiefs in local shops. When these arrived I was pleasantly pleased. Kudos to the team that made these.

Excellent. Exactly what I wanted
These Dockers polyester-cotton blend permanent press handkerchiefs seem to be exactly like some Dockers handkerchiefs I purchased at a large national brand department store over 10 years ago. Those older original handkerchiefs had lasted well over 10 years in fine shape and were still going strong; however, they had yellowed slightly due to many washings, so I wanted to replace them. After researching several different brands and reading scores of reviews, I ordered these Dockers at a great price and was not disappointed after opening the package. After first machine washing on a delicate cycle and drying on a low temperature, they came out great - ready to simply fold and place in my hip pocket or in my dresser drawer. For my money, expectations and usage, these Dockers polyester-cotton blend permanent press handkerchiefs are perfect.

Marvellous. Why have I only just discovered these?
Never need to iron a handkerchief again. Just take them out of the dryer, fold and put in your drawer. One of life's hassles solved. No more curled up crinkly hankies. ♥️

Good product
Hankies are sturdy enough, wash up well, and I wish I had bought 2 packages (6/pkg). Husband always has to have a hankie or two in his pocket - and he loses them easily!
