I really like this tripod
I really like this tripod. It works great. I do not have much to compare it to, as it is my first tripod. My initial impressions were that it was solidly built, easy to adjust, and it looked premium. I did however feel like it was heavier than I was expecting. When we took it out to use, it was very simple and quick to operate (although I did screw around with it at my house for a while before we went out). It was freezing so I was grateful. It was smooth to use. The rotating head made it easy to get the shots we wanted. Unscrew a knob, and you can adjust it, then tighten the knob back down, which is very easy to do. It does Not require a ton of pressure. We were shooting with a Nikon D5300.There were a few things I did not like. It was heavier than I expected, which still could be light by comparison for all I know. Also, the rotating head is too easily loosened. If you're not careful, the whole camera falls over, not to the ground, just as far as the ball allows, but with expensive electronics attached it scares me. Also could be user error. Lastly, I was a little irritated that it's just a rebranded product, which makes me feel like I could have gotten it cheaper. Or that it's not as good of a product and I thought. KZON is the brand I bought, but it came in all chinese packaging, and ended up being branded on the product itself as a Foxin.Overall I felt that the things I didn't like were minor, and I do really like the tripod overall. I would recommend it to anybody.

This is the first tripod I've purchased that wasn't some cheep piece of junk I got just to get me by. I used this on a week long trip to Yellowstone and it performed great! Used it with a Canon T5i with no problems. Love the monopod option! That came in handy when hiking trails in the park.Only con is that it's a little on the heavy side. I have nothing to compare this too and it wasn't enough to bother me. But if you're looking for something that really light weight, this is probably not for you.

I love this tripod.
Love this tripod! Smooth movement, sturdy, and well built. I can access the battery compartment and SD card without taking off the quick release plate on my Lumix G7. I have not been so lucky with other tripods because the quick release plates have been too large. I use this as my main tripod. I highly recommend it!

Excellent for the novice
If you're looking to expand your SLR shooting, specifically landscape and/or low-light photography, you'll need a tripod eventually due to the smaller apertures required to get crisp, clean lines and corners in your photographs. Tripods might seem like "a dime a dozen," but they're not. You could go with generic/private label tripods and risk putting thousands of dollars of equipment on something flimsy, and that requires your hand to keep it steady anyway (which somewhat defeats the purpose). Alternatively you could spend hundreds on a tripod that you could practically sit on, or that keeps itself steady in a class five hurricane. This tripod is the best of both worlds - it's well-built, doesn't break the bank, is steady enough for the amateur/enthusiast needs, and you don't have to overly worry about putting a $2,000 lens on top of it (though I always recommend keeping the neck strap around your neck no matter the tripod or setting, just to be sure). This tripod isn't light, but it gets the job done. My favorite thing about it - it's the first tripod I've owned that doesn't slowly drift down when mounted with a telephoto lens. Comes with a nice padded bag too.Watch this during the holidays because I picked up mine on a Lightning Deal at a fraction of the retail cost listed here.

Nice head, lousy legs
Returned because legs wouldn't stay locked when folded and was wobbly when extended; however the ball head was better than my other tripod heads, so I ordered a QZSD-80 Double Handle Tripod Ball Head and am satisfied with it.

Get what you pay for
Purchased the $100. version, the alloy mix makes it a lot stronger. well designed well built waiting for the hood to go out and test all my new camera toys. This version has twist locks that can not break unlike lever on $50. version. came with conversion parts to make a 1 leg stand. Also came with 2 additional foot pads. good buy !Update been using it works well WISH it had a arm to move camera when video taping but is a good tripod. Will see if I can modify to add a handle, will let you know if I can figure it out.
