Offers a lot but two immediate failures...
This lathe offers a lot for the money, but...It required a lot of adjustment to minimise play on the slides - which I can understand - but on its first attempted use it has failed.1) the speed display lights up but always shows zero2) a weld on the locking element of the tailstock snapped making the tailstock uselessI am waiting to hear from the supplier.

Seller was fantastic.
I ordered the 3 x 16 750w version. It arrived before promised but had suffered a verity of cosmetic damage in transit and from what I believe was poor factory fitting and packing. However, the lathe all functions exactly as it should and I am very pleased with it. The sellers communications were excellent at all times and I received a significant & fair partial refund for the cosmetic damage.I am a custom motorcycle builder. I tested the lathe making a wheel spacer 12id - 23od x 12mm. I also tried a very delicate 16id - 17od x 5mm bushing with a 1mm wall. The lathe perfumed very well for both. So, aside from the cosmetic damage and some fitment fettling of the outer casings, I am very happy with the lathe. If it were not for the cosmetic damage, I would have given it five stars.I recommend anyone buying a budget lathe like this to make sure they also buy high quality cutting tools from a reputable supplier. A 3k MYFORD lathe is useless with poor quality or blunt cutting tools.Jonathan Hull
