Interessante e affidabile

Ben scritto, l’autore è molto competente in materia e questo si percepisce. Riferimenti precisi e scientifici.

Opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking!

Absolute blast of a read!I got this book after seeing a video of the author talking on the subject of calories, and why they don't really matter. After listening to his almost 2 hour discussion - I thought I'd delve into his book and, well, it was NOT a disappointment so far. While insightful, and of course - funny and witty - it has opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking when it comes to my relationship with food, fasting and of course - how I eat. Since reading, I've changed just a few small things in my way of food - and, I've dropped a few kilo.I won't go into too much detail so as to not spoil anything, but if you're looking to lose weight, get in shape or just understand what it is you're doing to your body when you're eating too much Paprika chips, then this book is for you!

Highly informative

As a professional registered nutritionist I already knew most of the information in this book. However, it was definitely good as a refresher and helped with my CPD. I did learn quite a bit of new facts too and enjoyed the historical side of the book. Giles Yeo is a natural writer, it's hard to make fact entertaining but he has a great sense of humour and succeeds in this. If you know nothing about nutrition please don't be put off, he does a great job of explaining things. We need more books like this, potentially on the national school curriculum too as it counters the vast array of misinformation spread by those with no qualifications.

It's okat for what it is

189 pages into it and the question of the cover, which was, what a surprise (?), the reason I've bought it in the first place, remains unanswered.Good written? Yes.Good content? Yes.Well researched? Yes, with the exception that it is - once again, not surprised - written from a plant based bias perspective and not from a neutral point of view.Does it actually nail the point? Not for me, no.The simple answer "Every human has a different digestion, so the calories being extractes differ anyways" is obvious, I don't need a book for that.
