Removed unwanted toner!
This stuff is great, I believe it is mostly made of vitamin c powder. I overtoned my blonde hair and had a chunk of hair that was silver while the rest is blonde, so I mixed this powder with a little water and some clarifying shampoo, left it on the unwanted toner area for 5 mins and rinsed. It took the toner out perfectly and now my hair looks better. I'll definitely use this in the future for similar use like to fade color or brighten my blonde.

Works too well
I couldn't get my regular brand, so I tried this last time I colored my hair. I have been using the same color forever and am very familiar with how my hair takes and holds it.. not this time! I love this! My color is amazing, the purple not only took, it is sticking like it never has! Problem is, this color usually hits as red even though it's purple, I was planning on the red. I cannot say enough about this stuff, it's awesome! I do also use a post color protein sealant. Hair is shiny, full and healthy with virtually zero hair down the drain during coloring! I am ordering more now to have on hand.

A teensy bit scary
This product was a little bit scary. It absolutely stripped my hair of any and all buildup & changed the texture almost immediately. I didn't leave it on for the full amount of time since I made the mistake of rubbing it into my scalp and after a few seconds it started to strongly prickle telling me the skin was being damaged. The texture change with my hair was scary, it felt like it was breaking down the hair shafts like a Nair product would (don't ask how I know) like WAY TOO SOFT while wet. If you have ever wrecked your hair you know what I mean. That soft feeling went away once rinsed and then felt squeaky clean. I rinsed at 3 mins and my hair feels thinner & much lighter. I had some hair fall as well but doubt it was related. I DID use a conditioner after (instructions say not to) because I knew by the way my hair felt I'd never get a comb through it and would have breakage. I would not use this if you have bleached or very damaged hair... period. My hair has been permanently dyed once otherwise healthy.

As Advertised.
I've used this product for decades. I've used it when I had hard well water to strip the brownish rust look out of my hair and it always worked good.I also use it to take away the reddish tint from hair dye (as long as it's not too brassy).I've had brown hair for several years and I wanted to go back blonde and I expected the process of going blonde could leave a little brassiness and it did.ANYWAY...I used Malibu treatment and it worked really good as usual. I was surprisingly pleased, I used permanent Dark Ash Blonde hair dye and with the Malibu it left My hair looking like Natural Strawberry Blonde.I love Malibu treatments because You can expect a good result every time.

It’s powder
What even. I wish I could send it back. I have about 3 ft of hair if I try to use a powder conditioner I’m going to be washing it out for days 🙁 had very high hopes though..

Removing red!
I've been trying to get rid of red tones in my brunette hair since a stylist glossing screwup. Have been through uncolor treatments and although dye has removed, nothing has worked on the red. I read that metallic salts/oxidization may be the culprit and thought I'd give this a try. First treatment of this cut the red by at least half. 🤗

Pre-salon treatment
I am a licensed professional Cosmetologist who has worked with this and other products in the Malibu C line for over 20 years. This little packet is like an insurance policy for the vibrancy and longevity of your salon colour. Use it according to package instructions one to two days before your salon colour or perm appointment (or at-home colour, if you must - lol!) to remove the buildup that could be preventing optimum results. This does not have an offensive fragrance, nor does it sting the scalp or strip the hair of vital moisture. If you have shoulder length hair or hair that is very thick and dense (your ponytail is larger in diameter than two inches), you may need two sachets.
