Keto & Type 2 heaven
Perfect for keto.. Perfect for type 2... 0 carbs.. 0 everything!

Texture takes a little getting used to.
I really like this rice. The texture is unlike rice, rice noodles, egg noodles or pasta. It's more on the jelly side and takes a little getting used to. Once I done up my stir fried veg and added the Konjac rice it tasted fine. If your determined to reduce you carbohydrate intake and can tolerate the texture, then this is a perfect substitute.

The dreaded Keto diet.
For a few weeks I have been on a keto diet and indeed have lost two stone! However, that entails eating some things that I wouldn't normally gravitate towards, This is even more complicated because I am a veggie. I did buy some Konjac noodles to make Lo Mein amongst other things and they were perfectly acceptable as long as they were heavily dunked in a tasty sauce. However, they are a pit pongy when first liberated from their packet, but a good rinse sorts that out. So I decided to buy some Konjac "rice" and make a mushroom biryani and I must say it is more than acceptable when heavily laced with Indian spices, in fact I can honestly say that it isn't very different from a normal rice biryani...wow. Unlike the Konjac noodles, the "rice" does not pong much when first opened. I am a convert, but they don't taste of much without some sort of sauce, then they become delicious.

Love this konjac rice
You just need to rinse this quickly as it does not even smell like other konjac products. I use it as a replacement for all rice dishes as I'm diabetic and this has no carbs & hardly any cals.
