Forever Soldiers: The Tyrus Chronicle - Book Four

This was my least favorite book of the series. In this book, our hero is debilitated by PTSD so badly that he almost loses everything dear to him. As a veteran, I find it difficult to believe the plot, and it just wore on and on! In my experience, strong leaders like Tyrus bear their wartime burdens well… it is the weak willed that fall apart so easily (that’s why I did not like this book as much).

This author excels at depicting realistic relationships. The family dynamics and the dialogue were terrific! I really enjoyed the love displayed between siblings, soldiers, parents and their children. On a darker note,.the consequences to certain actions, as well as the horrendous PTSD, broke my heart! Despite some mechanical flaws in the execution, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good character-driven tale.

This was an interesting series in that the characters had several ups and down especially the lead character that pretty much had a emotional breakdown. I thought the author went almost too in depth in that but at the same time I appreciate the process veterans may go through. I’m aware of PTSD but I feel like the author really showed how it affects others. Ava really stood out in this book and it was interesting getting her perspective.

A good conclusion to the series. It was an interesting portrayal of a soldiers life. Also, it was interesting to see the characters transition from the different aspects of their life

This whole series of books is amazing. A true must read for any soldier coming home. It's a good how to in a way to deal with PTSD. More then once i had to stop for a break to wipe tears from my eyes. Everything was so powerful. I recommend this book to anyone anywhere anytime.

This series was very enjoyable! It addresses the burden that all veterans carry with them after they return to their homeland. Lots of action and great characters!

A good series and a very interesting reflection on the dreadful effects of post traumatic stress disorder which is what this book is mainly about. I have never read anything like it and what with it being a fantasy book really surprised me with it's insight.Well worth a look.

A good story full of twists and turns and blood and guts. I have read 1 and 2 and can't wait for the third.

Another excellent storyline and a great conclusion to the series.Forever soldiers was a joy to read but a bit sad there is no more. Thank you

A great finish to an amazing series. It provides enough closure to each of the characters that you don't feel anything needs to be revisited.
