Works instantly - but might require accessories
I’ve been brewing beer for a few months now and before purchasing this wort chiller, I’d been cooling my wort in an ice bath, which took a LOT longer than I initially expected. I finally decided to break down and buy this to speed up the cooling process. I couldn’t be happier with the result.Compared to other wort chillers, this price is great. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the adapter is meant to hook onto a garden hose-size tap, and will not work with a kitchen or bathroom sink. So if you’re brewing inside, you might need to buy an additional faucet adapter to use this indoors.

Excellent Quality and Price
50' copper wort chiller came with all fittings and tubing as expected. Very good quality. Shipped fast and can't beat the price.

Tubing exploded first use!
The tubing provided was not suitable for hot liquid and exploded the first time I used it. It is critically important that the tubing that accompanies an immersion chiller be capable of handling both low and high temperature liquids.

Does the job
Did the job well. Cooled my wort in about 8 min. Leaked where the clamp was at first - my fault - so test it before you actually have to use it. Once I tightened the hose clamp better, it didn’t leak. This was actually better than the chillers sold at my local home brew store.

What Was I Thinking??
I've been brewing my own beer since 1991 and since then I've always employed ice water to cool my wort, thinking that a coil was just another unnecessary gadget. Let's see... a batch of beer every month for 32 years at about $6 for the ice works out to $2232 in ice expenses. And the coil is so much more efficient than the ice baths. I have seen the light.

I’m glad I checked Amazon. These are much more expensive on brewing sites
Great value. I can’t tell the difference between this one and more expensive copper chillers.

Great Size and Length
Length 50' is generous and size 3/8" is what you need. It's almost impossible to roll your own for less money. Let a Pro do it and do it right, save your time and money for other things!!!
